Have you considered auctioning her off?

I had a garage door torsion spring break recently and looked up a place online yesterday for the work. They did the replacement this morning and I'm happy with the job they did -- seems to be working great.

Don't want to say they're a must-call since I just had this one experience, but I liked them. Guy who answered the phone was very helpful, so at a minimum I think he could offer you good advice and a quote.

    Good luck...

I need that replaced on mine too. Got a quote from another guy a couple of months ago for $200 I think it was, mb $250. Mind telling what you ended up paying?

I wonder how that happened? How do you not know the garage door isn't open?

Preoccupied. I've done the same thing. Got into an argument with my wife (then girlfriend), she hung up on me and wouldn't answer, so I got into the car to go to her place, and just backed out.

If you are anywhere near NW Houston/Cypress area, try Jacobs Overhead Door Co. on Telge Rd. They did all 3 of my garage doors when I built my house. I was very pleased with their quality, promptness and price.

My bet is you can hammer that out. If it were a wood door, you'd be screwed...but with metal, it will bend back. I'd sure try it before I paid someone to come out.

I probably could. It's also bent in some other places and off of the railing too. The door is jacked.... :(

I had one spring originally, but I went with two spring system this time. If you want one spring, I believe they quoted $170-$190 ... for 2 it was $235. They have a lifetime warranty on all their stuff I believe.

My spring busted like a month ago and I did nothing about it... then a neighborhood friend of my kids accidentally scratched our vehicle with his bike (head on... lol) and I was kicking myself for not having taken care of it earlier (I never usually leave vehicles in the driveway). I just called them end of day yesterday and they came out this morning.

Thanks for the leads everyone. Houston Overhead Garage Door Company fixed it for $303 (thanks [/b]Lady_Di). Not bad for same day service. They say they get a few of these calls a week but I don't believe them.

I'm calm enough to watch the Rockets now......

This is why the feminism movement will never succeed. Not until every garage door in America is free!

She could have turned the lights on.....but that wouldn't excuse her running into the garage door......
