ha! The real question is how long have I had 4k screen run PCs.

As for the second question, you are too limited in your thinking.

looks like my 11 year old is smarter than the old farts on clutchfans

    Haha

    Again, speaking out of poverty.

The 4080 is a perfectly good card to game at 4k.

It’s not limited in performance and solidly beats any 3xxx series cards when it comes to performance.

poor folks are just mad that it’s not cheaper.

hey, if you can’t afford it then stick with xx70 but you are going to take a hit at 4k resolution.

Lol okay, if you wanna be a sucker and burn your money just to flex, go for it. At least you listened to me that the 4080 isn't a good card. It's good to take smarter people's advice.

You can still game in 4k with an RX7900 XT for $300 less and no need to change your power supply... I mean, if you want to blow money away just because even thou Nvidia is taking advantage of you then so be it. Go overpay for anything and everything you feel like but don't act like what you are paying for is far superior because its not....

    4080 is a good card.

    I went with 4090 because it’s better.

Nobody said the 4080 isn't capable. It's a bad card because it's overpriced for suckers. And I think you are a fool for thinking an 11 year old needs one. But you just want to flex on us poors by wasting your money. Go for it if you want, but why not wait a little longer for the 4090 Ti for another measly $1000? That'll really show us.

Oh yeah I would be flexing my muscle by spending $300 more and getting slightly better performance, especially with raytracing turned on,with a sucker 4080 and not having to deal with amd driver issues.

    Oh noes! Lol!

No thanks. You enjoy your $300 saving for the inferior card.

4090 now and upgrade to 4090 ti when it comes out.

see? I have it all planned out!

I have been suckered into enjoying the best! Shame on me!

Broseph, you are doubling down on stupidity and nobody is buying it.

You are a sucker, a clueless mark.

Company's love you because you have no idea what you are doing.

It has nothing to do with being poor, it has do with you made literally the dumbest possible decision when it comes to graphics cards.

    Quick Update:

Really impressed with 4090. Any game that my daughter throws at it, it handles with ease. High fps at 4k no matter what comes it way.

Smooth as butter and no issues crash wise or any hiccups.

So impressed that I have decided to build two new systems; for myself and my son using 4090.

If that doesn’t qualify as a resounding recommendation, I don’t know what else would.

I think you're right. I'm guessing it's the motherboard but I'm no real expert, it's been years since I built it. I tried everything i know to do.

It seems the linked deals are expired, any advice on current deals?

What are your goals and budget?

Are you open to building your own?

Preferably about 500, some leeway to go a bit higher (if I can convince wife) on budget for the right equipment. It's been years since I last built a system but willing to undertake the task if better system for the money.

Not sure since it's gone dead on me, I think motherboard is dead but without real troubleshooting expertise I don't fully know for certain. Monitors, mouse, keyboard all fine. If I had another desktop I could troubleshoot but all my components are super old, newest is the video card from 2016.
