Not completely sure if Hangout is the right place for this post, but some people I know through mutual friends are trying to kickstart a gaming bar in Houston. I've backed their Kickstarter because I would personally love for a place like this to open in Houston. Not sure how widespread the appeal would be, but I hope they succeed. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/852714052/press-start-bar/ Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with this business venture in any way other than having met 2 of the principals once at a party.
That is cool but my game performance goes way down when I'm drinking. I don't even parkour on Titanfall after a single beer.
There is already a place like this near MMP. It is a store that sells arcade systems. It is next to a bar and couple a nights a month you can go there get some drinks and play some games.
There's a KungFu Saloon in Houston? I've been to the one in Austin and I loved it. The sake bombs were great.
The place is called Joysticks, first and last Fri/Sat's Nites of the month they have all you can play old school games for $20.
Kung fu here is just another racist yuppy bar. Beer is like $6 and they only have about 6-8 arcade games working.
Joysticks = Arcade showroom that opens for public a few times a month and has a bar connected to it. Kung fu = limited games, but it's not bad Barcadia = closed, but I heard of it and never got to go. Dave & Busters = pretty much the same thing but on a bigger scale
