I think he's trying to hustle us. In case you're serious, check out these online poker reviews. There's editorial reviews and also reviews submitted by players (disclaimer: I write articles for that site ). If you are just playing for fun (i.e. no real money), then I think Party Poker, PokerStars, and FullTilt are good choices. They have large game selections and decent customer service. Party Poker is the best site for real money play, IMHO, because it is the biggest and attracts the most novices (i.e. fishes). If you enjoy tournaments, PokerStars has the best tournament selection. After you play at those rooms, don't forget to visit my website and submit a review! Edited to add: I don't think the lack of extensive experience should stop you from playing online. Be responsible and start off playing the small stakes. On PokerStars you can play NL hold'em for as little as $5 buy in. Start off low for fun and don't move up the limits until you are comfortable with the swings. Here are some things to think about before you start: Why should I play online poker? I think "Guts" has some variations. My friend described some weird betting structures into it. Anyway...POKER POKER POKER! And I'm Viet...so VC VC VC!
Zing! Other than hold'em in college, I played 52 pickup, smoke and fire, spoon, and other games I can't remember sober. Not alot of things I can remember sober anymore. But I did watch Golden Girl reruns after gettin laid. I remember that.
I play bridge whenever I can. I like Spades, Poker, Hearts, and an Uno - type betting game called '99'.
Wasn't heypartner a bigtime bridge player - big enough that he played in tournaments and stuff? Anyone remember that?
While that is definitely the case, I don't play that way, because it doesn't teach you anything. Quite frankly it pisses me off, because someone can go all-in, and then join again if they lose. Even so, I usually wipe their money off the table pretty quickly. That said, I've played enough hands with friends before, typically at $20 buy in. I'd like to start playing online with that kind of entry. Like I said, if I lose $20, it's not like it's going to hurt.
Sweet, it's good to know I'm not the only one that plays oh hell. It's rare that I find someone that's even heard of it.
Just got into Euchre this year- great strategy game, and play Kings Corner with my 9 year old, who beats me at it regularly.
Yeah I do, I wasn't sure it was heypartner. I knew it was someone, but I didn't remember who. I suck at it, but I just love playing it. Sometimes my ineptitude frustrates my partner, and that can be kind of funny as well. I don't take it too seriously, but it is a fun game, and requires a ton of strategy mental exercise. No wonder I am bad it.
Heypartner was - is - an excellent bridge player and did play at the bridge studio here in Houston on 59 S, and in tournaments. I like bridge a lot, but wasn't ever serious like him. I also grew up playing poker. Lots of variations. Blackjack is also fun, as well as Bond's game.
Poker Texas Hold 'Em Hearts Solitaire Blackjack And slowly, I dont think loteria count, here doesnt consider loteria as a card game
Texas Hold'em Riichi Mahjongg (not the solitaire kind) - I think only mishii and a few others might know what I'm talking about - but it's a ton of fun.
