You would think Tetris would too? But if you like to explore all the possibilities and stuff, I think this game would be great.
I'm so glad I bought a DS. I only have Advanced Wars for it right now. But will surely get this game. (I don't have much time for videogames)
It's definitely a "get it" or "don't get it" type of game...I just expect most people to get it. And it's the last game I'd ever expect to get old after 30 minutes. If it makes any difference to you, they've mostly shown very basic levels (like level 1 and 2 out of 220). They get harder, requiring you to use and combine multiple objects and institute critical thinking.
So I guess I was wrong when I made the comment that nobody had noticed at E3. Got this summary from neoGAF: Pretty impressive. Nice to see the reactions from a lot of gaming sites. Has me hopeful the game turns out well.
The problem with this is that while it's cool you can mess around so much, the end result just isn't all that exciting. (i.e god vs karaken)
There are 220 levels in which the object is to get the star on the level. In order to get the star, you have to be creative in the things you use to get your hands on it. Once you use an item, you cant use it again for the rest of the levels, so you have to be smart about what you use early on. The game isnt just about typing something in and seeing it appear on the screen.
Exactly. That's why I don't agree at all with the "that seems like it would get old fast" comments. However, you could blame that reaction partly on the developers for focusing on the "random summoning" aspect a little too much. They really only showed one level where you had to use creative thinking, and a lot of people probably didn't see it.
