heh and that makes up for having to be without a console exactly how? I dont care how few weeks it takes, you are still without your gaming console for that period of time. and if you use it for HD watching with the add-on, that is a period of time you can;t do that either. no thanks...Best BR player on the market, graphics that are as good as 360 on the games *I* care about....and it doesnt break down. Seems like a easy choice to me. I dont care about online play, fraggin aliens or interacting with anyone thru XBL...that doesnt even enter the equation for me. and btw....it still is made by the most evil computer-related corporation extant. I may have to use M$ in my everyday use, but I dont have to like it.
eff them both!! The WII is where it's at. Trust me, get one, and you won't touch either an Xbox or Playstation.
You can't say that. Take big name multi-platform titles like Madden, GTA4, or COD4, that sell millions of copies. You can't have fun playing dumbed down versions on the Wii with its gimmick controller.
Most WII games give you the option of using the GameCube controller (which looks strikingly like the Xbox and PS3 controller) as well. Plus, I hate to say this, but as someone who worked retail, a growing trend I noticed was that most of the gamers who boasted about the graphics of either console didn't have the TV that could even handle it. I will agree tho, games like madden, and fifa are amazing on other consoles. Personally, I bought a 360 and bum my best friend's WII all the time. I'd rather play the Wii games over any incarnation of any other console's games. I dunno, COD and Halo are a lot of fun, great games to play when you're drunk. I think I've noticed tho, as I get older I kinda want less power and more entertainment. I don't think anyone can really say that the Wii isn't the funnest console, the only argument they can make is that it lacks in it's realism. If you are looking for the most real, best possible experience, ditch both the 360 and PS3, throw down $1,000 and set up an extremely awesome desktop running 7.1 audio and get a crossfire dual or tri video card setup with a pioneer elite TV hooked into it. I know excessive, but surely worth it.
umm, wrong... I've owned all 3 for a long time, and the Wii gets played the least by FAR. I have a HDTV and I've always been a graphics-w****, whether it's console or PC games Wii just ain't all that, to me
