Seemed fine to me. The camera angles can get a little frustrating (like when flashback Drake is running on the rooftops), but nothing more than the previous entries.

I played 3 hours last night and so far, it has met my already high expectations. It bummed me out when I saved and it said 35% complete. These games are amazing, but I wish they were longer.

PS3 with Uncharted 3 and BF3 for $300. You should be able to sell BF3 for at least $40 if you don't want it.

Yep, got that deal in the cross-hairs, probably head over there at lunch.

Thanks guys! This is the sort of thing I was talking about..

oh and FYI, if anyone cares.. Target claims to match ad prices, but they will not match Fry's - the lady on the phone at Target said 'We match prices from stores like Walmart - Fry's is not one of our competitors' - which was an utterly stupid thing to say, since I am about to drive past about 5 Target stores to get to Fry's to spend money I would rather have spent closer at Target. Sigh.

Best Buy pulls that same crap too. Why can't Fry's just build a store out in the NW area?? sheeeeesh

Played 3 chapters last night, so far only hand to hand combat and jumping across roof tops. Good beginning, and great graphics! Its funny how the first 30 mins of this game makes you feel closer to the characters compared to most movies nowadays...

I think I stopped at Chapter 10. When you're supposed to match up those body parts to the mural on the wall. Seemed a wee bit tedious after a 13 hour work day. I'll tackle it tomorrow.

So in case you didn't love Naughty Dog enough, check out this thread:
    http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=450878

Basically, it seems like U3 changed the aiming controls, and apparently not for the better. A lot of gamers have complained about it. ND didn't seem to notice it (I think?), but they asked for volunteers in the area to visit their office and demonstrate the problem. Seems like that was very helpful, and things might get patched soon. Also, sounds like they might patch the motion blur issue as well.

Obviously not a good thing that these problems existed to begin with (although I guess they're not too bad given impressions/reviews), but I think Naughty Dog did a great job of responding to customer feedback (of course, could just be good PR, but I think they really do care).

I finished the game on Friday night and had no visual or technical problems throughout.

    Amazing game.

Finally got around to playing it yesterday (and also beat it). Great game. I think I liked U2 better though. U3 does a lot of things better, but just didn't feel as good to me (maybe U2 is benefiting from time though). Visuals are ridiculous of course. And that's with no motion blur.

The game froze on me once during the horse chase scene and had a few stutters here and there but nothing major aside from that.

Just beat it and man...this franchise is amazing. I was on a skyrim bender and picked this up on black friday. Really looking forward to uncharted 4 (it's pretty much confirmed by ND) in the next two years (since the others were 2 years apart, each).

    Batman...U3...skyrim...talk about immediate GOTY contenders.

I'm a huge Naughty Dog fan, but I have to say this game is disappointing so far. I'm up to chapter 15, and I'm just not getting into this game like I did the previous titles in the series (and going back to ND's Jak & Daxter and Crash series as well). It looks great for sure. I took advantage of the latest update to set the shooting mechanics back to where they were on Uncharted 2.

I just feel there are too many moments when you have to run real quickly and find the spot to climb, but that spot isn't readily apparent. So you die multiple times before you figure out the rail you're supposed to jump to. Too many time have I had to wait to be prompted towards the chain I have to jump to. Previous games had a better mix of platforming and gunplay, but this one seems overly loaded up on platforming. As much as I consider myself a platforming junkie, I'm not enjoying the way Drake handles his his platforming section. Uncharted 2 was just a perfect mix of gunplay, stealth, and platforming. Stealth seems pretty lacking in this game. And I'm definitely missing the interactive scenes of the second game. The train, trucks, tanks, helicopters, museum heist all had a summer movie feel to them. Maybe there are some coming down the pipe, but I'm getting alarmingly close to the end and haven't had any DAMN moments with this game.

Maybe it's just having spent a month playing Arkham City and not having the free-roaming and fluid hand-to-hand combat. I'm definitely going to finish it and probably play on Crushing (because I'm a 100% junkie), but I feel I overpaid at $60. As part of a bundle or at $30, it's definitely worth it. If you're new to the series and want to start, pick up Uncharted 2.

    Stealth lacking?
I find stealth in this game kinda hard since it does not have a radar like Metal Gear Solid or Assassin's Creed.
I like the run quickly set pieces. When they had it in Uncharted 2 at the end, my jaw dropped to the floor.

I guess Uncharted 3 does not have the same impact like Uncharted 2 did.

    Couple questions:

On my second play-through just because it is as fun as watching a real fun action flick, and I am scratching my head for the second time.

There was a scene where Nate and Sully stumble across one of Marlowe's men, dead, and looked like the body had been 'drained', or 'mummified', or somehow had some other kind of unnatural end happen to him.

So, foreshadowing, I get it. But.. never again in the game was this mentioned, or even alluded to.

    What the heck happened there?

Also, why did Talbot not die when shot point blank by Cutter? Vest? maybe, but no answer. Some kind of supernatural superman? Maybe. But never any real answer.

But things like that seemed to lead to a conclusion that Marlowe and Talbot and their organization were somehow imbued with supernatural powers of some sort - and even the 'Djinn' sequence hinted at it as well.

    But then, nothing.

They die, and the story was over.

    Did I miss something?

No reveal of who Marlowe actually was, who Talbot was (I had actually started thinking Marlowe might really actually be Queen Elizabeth, and Talbot might be Dee (the alchemist guy - another reason to thikn they may have been immortal, as alchemy has always been primarily searching for immortality).

But no, nothing came of it.

Was this something that ND cut out in the final days, did they rush the game to completion? I watched all the extras, and no mention was made at all.

Just really kind of scratching my head about it all.

All in all though, I have to say, I really loved the game regardless, just because it has a real sense of fun and humor about itself, very Indiana Jones and National Treasure flavors to it all.

Anyway, just been wondering if anyone else noticed those things, and if anyone has heard anything about it.
