I need to replace a stolen PS3, and I have been waiting for this bundle to come out. I have not seen any really good deals on the bundle yet, has anyone seen any upcoming ads or really good extras for the PS3/U3 bundles in the next week or so? I know Best buy is giving away the UC1&2 combo game for free with this bundle, but since I already HAVE both of them, that doesn't really do anything for me. I am HOPING they put some good deals out on this console bundle within the week, especially considering MW3 hits on 11/11/11 and suddenly everyone is going to be forgetting about U3 as soon as it does. Don't get me wrong - I have absolutely loved MW1 & 2, but I would rather play it on the 360 instead of the PS3, so U3 is the bundle I am looking for. Otherwise I would get the MW3 bundle. As it is, I think the Uncharted games made such a leap forward with U2 that getting U3 is a no-doubt purchase.. I just don't want to buy the bundle this week and then see it with some kind of really good deal NEXT week. Anyone seen any upcoming deals?
I know that, everyone has that bundle. That's not a 'deal'. I am talking like the deals that some places have like 'get a free $40 gift card with this item', or another free game, that kind of thing. I don't want to buy the bundle and then see a better deal on it a week later. That's all I am saying.
Ok.. let me see if I can clarify: by 'deal', I mean a deal above and beyond what the standard retail price is everywhere for the bundle. I know it's a good deal already, so if no better deals pop up within the week, I will buy it anyway. However, I am talking about something along the lines of what BB is doing in offering an extra incentive above and beyond the same price/product everyone else has at the standard $299. I would just rather get it about anywhere than BB and their particular 'bonus' means little to nothing to me since I already have UC 1 & 2. Yeah, I could hassle with turning around and trading in the freebie at Gamestop or somewhere, and get maybe 8 bucks for it.. big woop.
it would probably be best if you can hold off the ps3 purchase until the end of the month. There's bound to be a black friday ps3 deal. Maybe its for the uc3 bundle or you could just b2g1 at target this week with the likely chance that there's other games you're interested in.
Got the game earlier (via Amazon), but probably won't play it for a bit. Reading something about motion blur not being in the game? Or something like that? Apparently that is a surprise to ND. Maybe a mistake was made in the hours before going gold (revisit the article I linked to earlier, which mentioned a major bug being found just before U3 went gold). Maybe I should wait until they fix that (assuming they can/will). Nah.
Good for you. I think everybody should enjoy the game rather than nitpicking stuff. If you think you got ripped off then it's your fault for buy it $60. I'll wait for it to drop.
Those looking for an alternate to Amazon, Target's got buy 2 get one free (uncharted 3 included). I just got me Uncharted, Batman, and 2K 12 for 130 (with tax). Yea, I'd have preferred to get the $20 promo credit from Amazon instead, but what the hell, an early xmas present for myself ; )
