Here's a working video on 1up. The action looks pretty good with some improved melee. Amazing fire effects there! Can't wait to see the more open environments and see how ND has improved on their tech from Uncharted 2.

I don't own a console, but I plan to change that over the holidays, and Uncharted is the series that pushed me into the PS3 camp.

Bit of an unfair statement to make since there's only one Naughty Dog...and they make games exclusively for PS3. Those visuals are more a testament to their hard work and technical expertise IMO. Would be interesting to see what they could come up with on the 360. ps3 first party exclusives are better looking than xbox exclusives most 3rd party games have a lead platform as a 360 so they end up looking much worse when lazy developers port it over games that have a lead platform on ps3 like la noire and ff xiii look significantly better on the ps3
As far as accolades it should be between Batman and Elder Scrolls, probably just Elder Scrolls. Both those games has made leaps from their prior iterations, Batman being more open world now, and Elder Scrolls just looks fantastic. Haven't tried out Dark Souls yet, but I enjoyed Demon Souls, so an open world version sounds very interesting. For Uncharted, it just seems a bit of the same old same old. I liked UC1, and UC2 certainly looked much better graphically, but by the end of the game the story was just not that engaging. And for UC games it is really all about the story, since the campaign is completely linear and MP is eh. So the story better be damn good. In the end, no matter how good these games are, the one I will be spending the most time on will be BF3. Single player games are one and done(for me).
Yeah, I really don't get the Uncharted hype. The linear gameplay just doesn't appeal to me much. Don't get me wrong, it is fun, but jesus christ the Elder Scrolls is far, far more impressive, imo.
Yeah, personally Uncharted is one of my favorite series, but much of the gaming community always complain about linearity which I really couldn't care less, that being said, Uncharted 3 will take all the awards IMO. If only Mass Effect 3 had been released this year.
I enjoyed playing through both of them, but I admit it got a bit methodical after a while...good fun but not the earth-shattering experience I was led by others to believe it would be. And graphics aside (which admittedly was fantastic), I think Uncharted 2 should have just been called Uncharted: Snow Edition. Spoiler They basically recycled the whole "Nazi quest for power leads to Drake chasing down super-mutants" plot from the first to the second with some tweaks here and there. I don't think I'll bother with the third even if the graphics do look great...
I already got mine pre-ordered with same day delivery from Amazon. Can't wait. As for the "Ps3 could beat up the 360" debate; who cares? They both have good games. I own and love them both. The Wii fascination is the one I don't understand. I don't play the Elder Scrolls games but my Wife does. They look amazing and the depth is endless.
