damnit. This is why these inferior teams need to get with the program and build a damn retractable roof ball park!!!
Its gonna be played, but make no mistake... these are AWFUL Baseball conditions. Its cold/wet, meaning pitchers are going to be tight, and will have questionable grip on their balls. The basepaths are going to get real muddy... which takes away any possibility of a running game, or scoring a run from first. And, the ball won't carry well at all... this isn't the best of stages for the World freakin Series.
The Astros have determined that they do not want to be in Chicago any longer than necessary, so they win the next four games.
Joe Buck is hillarious. Anyways, the grounds crew basically has no clue about the weather right now... I expect it to be a loooong night if they're going to play this game of "tarp on/tarp off".
This is bad news for us if they go on with this and end up with any lenghty rain delays. We can't afford to have to pull Pettitte after a short outing...whereas the White Sox have a bit deeper rotation, and being up 1-0 it wouldn't be as bad for them. Chicago weather sucks!
Yes... because when they get to Houston, they will focus on nothing but Cowboys/country music/boots/tumbleweeds/oil derricks/hillbillies/armadillos.
