maybe major league baseball can just award the sox the series like they seem to want to instead of going through the formality of having their umps screw the white sox opponents every chance they get.

I can deal with the Astros not executing, I can handle that... that is the life of the fan, but in these situations you'd expect the umpires to know what the hell they are doing, and the fact that the ball went DOWN after hitting the bat it was quite obvious that it was a foul ball. Now maybe he walks Dye after that, maybe he doesn't... but they don't get it in a tainted way. The pick off call is a completely different bag of beans as it is simply a judgement call, not a HUGE mistake thinking that the bat was his freaking forearm.

The ump had no clue... and I think he made the mistake of looking at Dye's reaction. Dye obviously tried to sell that he was hit by makin some sort of face or gesture, and the ump bought it.

Kinda like the play that Adam Everett sold to the ump in game 6... the ump could not have been completely sure, but Everett convinced him.

OK, that pitch to Ensberg was low and the one to Berkman was outside ...

I love how we're making all their relievers look like the 2004 NLCS version of Brad Lidge.

Gotta get that home cooking going at MMP.

This is the pilot, if you look out of right window, you will see Konerko's ball, and on the left, we will circle around so you can see Pujols ball. Please remain seated for this portion of the flight.

    Uh...yeah.....REALLY!

Should've never gotten to that situation. Wheeler walked the batter before and then struggled with Dye.

Stop blaming the umps for the blown lead, this was the Astros downfall.

Walks kill you and Wheeler was PA fricken Thetic tonight.

Garner screwed up big time by not bringing Qualls in first....why go Wheeler firsts tonight? He doesn't have the same stuff as Qualls....

The reason you put Wheeler in last is if he struggles...you can bring in Lidge....

Big screw up tonight...big..... 0-2....how many teams have been down by that and won the series...not many I'll bet.

Well, the White Sox better wrap this one up in 4-5 games or else that call by Nelson will forever taint this World Series. I realize Dan Wheeler might've ended up walking Dye anyway, but at least give the players a chance to decide the game.

Sorry you can't blame the umps for Wheeler walking Iguchi in front of Dye, then throwing a pitch that far out of the strike zone on a 3-2 pitch in front of Konerko. The umps didn't throw a fat first pitch to Konerko either.

Yes it sucks that the break didn't go the Astros way, but **** happens. They should have never been in that situation to begin with. Walking Iguchi was the real crime committed here.
