And sooner or later Berkman and Ensberg will start knockin some runs in since our offense hasn't really come alive just yet.
Huge win! Roy O was fan-freakin-tastic. Chris Burke is playing out of his mind. Let's finish it at home! GO ASTROS!
That was a good game . It was good to go in and take a game in St Louis . Roy was NAILS tonight ! Now if we can keep winning at home like we do then we will be in good shape . The Rocket should be ready for war on Saturday !
Man o man. What a game by Oswalt. I love this guy, he is my favorite pitcher. Burke was great AGAIN! Now we come home with the Rocket on the mound!!!
Awesome win! Hope this is not too off-topic -- I just caught up on the fact that Pettite actually injured his knee just before game 1 when Oswalt hit a line drive into him as he was rounding the bases after his warmup swings... My first reaction is unprintable. I am fighting rage. If Pettite didn't suffer this seemingly completely avoidable and asinine injury, there is a good chance the Stros win game 1, too. I know, if frogs had wings, etc... But please, someone help me out if they can, why the *&^% would the Astros overlook the risk in this practice? I'm sure these injuries "never" happen, and yet... The article on ESPN said Pettite saw the line drive coming and tried to get out of the way, but... I know, they're pros, they are supposed to be able to handle line drives coming at them, I guess that's the reason... it just seems stupid to me. Reminds me a little of the Vince Coleman-tarp rolling machine accident... I am sincerely sorry if this has already been addressed... I didn't see it anywhere...
He is money... but I don't think he'll be starting game 3 unless he's playing CF for Willy. Lamb owns Morris (2 HR's in last year's playoffs), he starts. Lance can't play RF because of his knee.... he's stuck in left. Lane is our only tru RF... and he CAN hit Morris (see 2-run HR off him in the game in September)... I still play him.
I think we did what we wanted by winning at least one in St. Louis. We didn't manage that in last years Championship Series, so this one was huge for us. Great game by the Astros who did what it took. Roy, and Lidge were outstanding, Burke is amazing this post season. It is absolutely amazing what he has done. That tripple scared me. Berkman hit the ball well tonight, but not out of the park. I was very glad that we added a couple of extra runs late in the game. Anyway let's really play all out back at home. Go 'Stros!
Not enough range or arm. Lane makes some big-time catches for us out there too. I love Burke right now, but unless we're playing him in CF (which still could happen... Willy's been good, but he's left some key runners on)... it will be tough to get him in. Another possibility is that Garner says "screw it" to Lamb's career domination against Morris, and goes with the same lineup he had tonight.
If you put him in CF, couldn't you just move Willy T over to RF then? He has the range but does he have the arm?
