Note to self....NEVER throw a pitch down the middle to Pujols, he will crush it.

If it were up to DD, Roy would be a finnese pitcher. ;)

I have a problem with the location... but not the pitch.

Roy's biggest strength is his biggest weakness, his confidence in his fastball.

    Dang.....

this means Pujols gets at least one more at bat this game... let's hope he sees nothing to hit (and that he's facing Lidge).

Yes... off-day tommorow, we'll have a slim lead, and he's rested... no reason to do otherwise.

Pujols needs one in his ear hole after slowly walking and admiring his long ball.

A well-placed fastball is the best pitch in baseball-- Larry Dierker.

0-2? Come on Roy through the curve......where is the 65mph curve? These guys are going to start catching up with his fastballs...

No doubt....he should throw predominatly fastballs, but changing speeds keeps em from looking straight fastball....Pujols was not looking for a slider or a curve, he was sitting dead red....

Good hitters need to be kept off balance...

That is why Roy rarely gets shutouts, he usually gives up at least one or two runs due to stubborness, he can still improve by learning how and when to change speeds more often.
