Yes...it will grap ALOT of those COD fans who hate Ghosts. It will grab COD fans who like Ghosts! I'm interested to see what else is in the full version of the game

Heads up : expect an open beta soon. I'd guess within the next week or two.

The Origin listing for this game said 'Beta coming soon'

Rumor is the PC (and Xbox One) Beta will be 2/14-19. My understanding is you'll need to pre-order, but I haven't heard any details beyond that (those are supposed to be coming).

No mod support at launch, but possibly later to come (I'm guessing the game will be a huge success, and thus they will release mod support). DLC will definitely happen (thanks, publisher_x!), but as to what it is they haven't quite stated. Maps are a high probability, other Mechs and weapons I'm guessing as well. Perhaps additional gametypes as well?

Side note: I just pre-ordered through Origin. I usually get physical copies, but I don't want to wait another 19 hours for the carrier to deliver it, when I can be playing shortly after midnight. Hooray for digital distribution.

Just an FYI - Origin has screwed up quite a few midnight releases and pre-order pre-loads in the past. Not saying don't pre-order with it, but don't be crushed if you wake up at midnight to play and you can't.

TL;DR - Origin is still pretty terrible.

Oh no, that's what I'm expecting. I had Diablo 3 and witnessed that cluster****, not to mention PSN on PS4 launch day etc. If I get to play it'll be nice, I still won't be waiting on ****_carrier_x or y.

Read last night that Titanfall will not use Australian servers. That's great. Awesome work there....

So allegedly Respawn has already sent a build off for Microsoft certification. Unfortunately this process takes ****ing forever, so whenever that happens we'll have a full beta announcement. My money is that it will still occur on the rumored 2/14-2/19.

The PC minimum specs can be found below; basically if your computer was built in the last 5 years it should be playable.

    OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
    Memory: 4GB RAM
Video card: 512MB VRAM, Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT

    Some small side notes:
You do not have to pre-order for the beta.
You will need Origin on PC.
Beta is only for Xbox One / PC.
No NDA on the beta, you can talk about it however you like.

Pre-Order Titanfall for the PC for 20% off for a limited time from GameFly Digital.

    LINK: http://digital.gamefly.com/#!/download-titanfall/5006255
    Coupon Code: FEB20OFF

With Tax my total came out to $51.71.

NOTE: The game will be activated and downloaded in Origin via a redeemed key, GameFly is just a re-seller.

With that said, news about the upcoming Titanfall Beta. It is a completely new build of the game, so may be drastically different than the alpha a few weeks ago. Also, it has a built-in anti-cheat system.

Are you sure? Even an ordinary laptop not built for gaming, like this one that i have? (Dell Inspiron 15z) specs - http://www.pcworld.com/product/1250554/inspiron-15z.html

If true, and this laptop that I bought with no intention to game on , could run Titanfall decently, I may have never even bought an xbox one.

Titanfall is built on the Source engine, which is nearly 10 years old (has been improved upon obviously) - so it will run on a ton of systems well. Even those several years old.

The integrated Intel 4000 graphics on your Inspiron should be able to play it on Medium-Low settings. My buddy has a channel on YouTube where he tests games and how well they run on the Surface Pro, and he tested nearly 100 games on the original Surface Pro - which has the Intel 4000 chipset.

That has integrated graphics and laptop monitors are awful. With that said it may very well be playable to an extent, traditionally Source engine games are CPU bound, and you have a solid processor. The video card is a major bottleneck, but I'm betting that the game will play on your laptop. If you have an external monitor to hook it up to it may even be enjoyable. I wouldn't get rid of your Xbox though.

Eh, oh well. I didn't think I could run it on this laptop. And I know laptop monitors are pretty bad, so I was planning on hooking it up to my TV via HDMI. But even then, I'm pretty sure my xb1 would run the game better than this laptop I have.

See my post above, think I just beat you to the punch. The Intel 4000 isn't optimal, but it is far from terrible. The Surface Pro runs TF2, Dota 2, CS:Go and other Source Engine titles at 720p and medium to low settings (depending on game, map, etc) and it has the Intel 4000. Titanfall should run pretty smoothly on his rig.

Not if his monitor has an abysmal refresh rate. He isn't using a Surface.
