Been playing a lot better since I haven't been using my Titan. I put it in guard mode and my KD ratio has gone up dramatically.
Noob question...how do you put it in guard mode and what does that do? Im at the point where Im barely even calling in the Titan because I'd rather be running around looking for pilots.
Depends on how much you like first person shooters. Most people who bought the game seem to like it, but I don't think it is revolutionary or the best game ever, and there are always going to be some people who dislike any game no matter how popular it is. Call of Duty with mechs, and substantially more vertical movement options would be the simplified description. And it's 100% multiplayer based.
That's a huge mistake. You call the titan in every time when you have it. It defaults to follow mode, which means it follows you wherever you go. Pressing V (check your binds) will toggle it between follow and guard mode. Guard mode has it cover an area. The auto titan AI is strong enough to get you some kills.
39 holy crap was that hardpoint? I have mainly played attrition so my tops is like 15 or so. I usually average around 7-8 a match. I want to start playing hardpoint more played a couple of games last weekend and it was a fun gametype.
Yea...my best in Attrition was in a game last night: 7 Pilot Kills, 3 Titan Kills, 10 minion kills, 3 deaths For this old-timer, that's pretty good.
Has to be hardpoint or CTF, you can't get that many kills in attrition. Unless his team literally did nothing the entire time...
Eh, it's not your fault. It's not like there's a manual, although they did make you do this during the tutorial. Any way it's an easy mistake to make, I enjoy being a pilot as well. One thing to note of course is when you call it in, try to make sure you have titan back up so you're not being engaged 1v2 etc. If you're the first to have your titan ready, that's an exception...I always call it in immediately and get in immediately. You have a huge advantage if you're the first (and/or only) titan (yeah, I know...duh...whatever).
Let this be a lesson tutorial skippers, you're ****ing up! In all seriousness, most tutorials are kind of eh -- the titanfall one is well done and integral for beginners.
i dont think its possible to skip the titanfall tutorial is it? i think the first time you boot up it takes you straight too it
You could during the beta, and I assume there was a way to do it in this one they just don't tell you initially. (I didn't figure it out obviously, but apparently he did)
Puts you straight to it, but you can cancel out for sure. I forgot what I pressed though, but the option was there, at least on the console.
Just wondering, why did I learn to "wall hang" and certain details about the minimap through this thread instead of the tutorial? I understand that they can't go over everything, but i figured this stuff is important
You press the down button on the xbox one and it puts it in guard mode (it will automatically guard the position you have placed it in), you press down again and it will be in follow mode (follow you to a new position). I let me cousin borrow the game so he was using his xbox live account, last night was the first time that I've played in like a week but it was like for 4 hrs lol.
