Great for taking out camping snipers across the map. didn't know this either: When wallrunning you don't have to continue running in one direction, you can turn around mid run. I figured this out the other night, it's really important to know because you can eject and immediately spin around and shoot the guy who rodeoed you: When rodeoing a titan until its doom, the ejecting pilot will ALWAYS be in front and slightly below you. When being rodeo'd disembark, turn around jump and kick for a OHK on that cowboy
Even without the Stryder. That Map Hack with a silencer and cloak tactical is the most OP burn card in the game. I used it and went like 20 something pilot kills and 0 deaths.
Yeah, map hack + silencer = wins. I had a similar game the other night, helps when you know where everyone is doesn't it? Haha.
play some more tonight...i dont know, it doesnt go well i'll prob just go back to playing something else. the game might simply be too fast for me
You shouldn't be so easily discouraged. Everyone starts in the same place; the first time I played Counter-strike my friend literally was able to strafe circles around me with his knife out and I couldn't hit him with a pistol. A lot of practice will help you, I promise it gets easier.
If you play with us (sorry I tend to play a bit later, and I didn't play at all yesterday) we'll help you out.
yeah i'll play, just let me know when. seems me, you, and like 1 other person are the only ones playing on PC
I've played this game pretty hard since it came out. It's about to collect dust next to Crysis and some other games of mine. It has a lot of positives, but the negatives outweigh it for me. I like to combat pilots (real people) and just can't seem to track enough of them down to make the game enjoyable for me.
this is my problem as well. and the dummy AI/grunts/spectres are just wayy awful. i'd say its not even fun killing em. the mini map is weird too me. apparently theres arrows that point up or down if there is someone above/below you. wouldnt have known that if someone hadnt told me. even then i tend not to notice em. IDK...like i mentioned earlier maybe the game is just too fast for some.
possibly...i dont know, i feel a lot of FPS is just based on how good your reflexes are. especially with the game being so battle oriented. you can't really camp and sniper people. so a lot of fighting is up close. again...maybe its just too fast for some. i think thats just the way it is. some can adapt to that...i'm not sure i can/will.
Reflexes are important, but it isn't just about that. Wall running / positioning / knowing when to shoot and when to give away position, etc are all things that have nothing to do with reflexes. There's a very wide skill gap right now, simply because this game gives intelligent players a lot more options that just "strafe, crouch, jump, strafe, or prone". The reason why some people seem like they're insanity is they've just adapted to the differences.
ehh...i just disagree. i don't think the game is all that advanced movement wise...from what i've seen so far people who are wall running are using it to get up to a higher level...like i dont see people running along walls shooting people down. it maybe happening but not at a ridiculous rate. giving yourself away i can see..but you have to shoot at some point right? how else are you going to get kills...again most fighting is up close next to one another so giving away positioning isn't a big deal imo. it would be if you camped/sniped...the game is too fast for that. i guess after having played roughly 11-12 hrs i'd say the game is a super charged/faster halo. no giant maps/vehicles...but in terms of the fighting its a lot of jumping/bouncing dueling one on one. so aiming in much like any game is important, especially as you move. maybe thats just my downfall...maybe my aiming just absolutely sucks.
I just had my best games yet tonight in k/d ratio so I feel a little better about my abilities...as in I'm improving. Go old-timers!
