So people are playing on PC now by utilizing an executable someone made. Everyone is saying it's clean, but I will say my free antivirus (bitdefender) found it as a virus immediately, and multiple times. There is also the fear that you could banned (because technically it's not like you just popped a disc in, you're circumventing a system, which in turn may violate a TOS or EULA somewhere). They repeatedly have said it's clean (and more specifically what it does), and there's quite a few people playing but I'm not sure I want to risk it. I'm more concerned about the possiblity malware than the ban, I don't think they'll ban people for using a different executable to play a game they paid for.
They are going to end up getting banned. Origin has checksums in place, and sorry - but I'm not risking my entire Origin catalog for a few days of playing.
Yeah sounds almost certain. Having paid for it doesn't mean you won't get banned for something like this. There are plenty of precedents in other games. It will be pretty easy to see who has already leveled up before the game is even live. My preload says the game will unlock at 11pm on the 10th.
I'm not going to mess with the executable. With that said, I will be using a VPN to unlock early some time on the 10th. (Ideally of course, assuming I can get everything set as necessary)

FWIW, I decided to go ahead and sell my PS4 and buy an Xbone. My brother in law is going to do it too.
Will definitely do that. I'll also be playing Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and maybe NBA2k14. Haven't decided if I'm going to purchase 2k again yet though. Doubt I'll have much time to play Four games. Two is more realistic actually. KD on PS4 Ghosts was over 2 and my brother in law's was too. Decent Battlefield player. We win more than we lose, but we don't take it too seriously. Play for fun mostly. Hopefully the learning curve for Titanfall won't be too steep.

I used the VPN trick to play. (hooked in to a VPN in korea) I wish they would let you skip the tutorial if you were in the beta, but whatever.
