Minions will have generic names (Militia Grunt, Spectre, etc). Pilots will have their username visible over their character. It will also show their username on the screen after you kill them. On the minimap, grunts will show up as small red dots while pilots will have a larger red dot when detected.
I have a feeling they will differentiate the look of the minions in the final build further and/or allow for soldier customization so it will be easier to differentiate. The nameplate also shows the player name vs. generic name, friend or foe. Also, the grunts come down in pods in groups of four. So if you see four enemies tightly grouped, they are probably minions.

I can buy it on PC which is better for FPS and I think it's ok. I would hate it more playing it with a controller (especially if there is aim assist like their is on PC with a game pad). EA put bots in to make kids and noobs who can't kill human players feel better about themselves. 6v6 is too small. At least I can play Ground War in CoD.
This includes you apparently. No, they put them in to make everyone feel like they have a purpose. If you suck, you can still contribute without feeding kills to the other team. It also makes it where the other team can't camp. I assure you, people would have camped so the other team can't get Titans. Now, it is much tougher to turtle a match. Strategy 101. Adding the minions in, fixes a lot of the issues you see with online FPSs being played in non competitive settings. In competitive settings most players are on the same skill level, online it is a free for all. Minions help mitigate that discrepancy.
So if I am .7 vs humans in 2 games then I am a noob who can't kill humans. Rezdawg, svper is calling you a noob too. I was .8 in my second game and you are .8 according to your last post.
On PC? Grats. I think I'm gonna play it some more before the beta expires tonight. Who knows, I might change my mind.
Gonna finish the tutorial and give this game another shot. I can't fully judge it unless I know all of the moves and whatnot.
Well, clearly, they made you feel good about your stats...so they did achieve their goal of making kids and noobs feel better about themselves. And people talk about this game because its going to be a big part of the XBO franchise...not because it makes the XBO better than the PS4. I have both systems and there will be plenty of times where I buy a game for the PS4 that will dominate. The question I want to know is why you care so much about XBO owners enjoying their system? It's a video game system, let people enjoy what they want to enjoy.
Ive never once claimed to be good or claimed that the game is easy...I love FPS games, but Ive never been someone that has been awesome. Im currently below average in Titanfall...I think Im a little above average in COD. Titanfall presents totally different mechanics and gameplay...so the learning curve will be steep for me compared to what I have been accustomed to over the last 5 years.
Yeah, PC. It's a very fun game, I think you should give it another shot. If you like CoD, you should probably like this. (Key word there is if)
The point I was making... If you have a .7 KDA and think the game is too easy and you don't have room for improvement, then you are only fooling yourself. There will be many, many players with four to five times that KD who still think they suck. In multiplayer FPSes, there is always room for improvement. That is one reason the genre remains so damned popular.
Who said I care? All I'm saying is you can't call this an exclusive if over 90% of computer owners have a PC, 50% of which can play it. You can't keep rubbing it in PS4 owner's noses when chances are they have a PC that can run it as gamers and they most likely prefer to play FPS shooters on PC with a keyboard and mouse. I did. It's good. I will probably get it once it goes on sale and the competition goes up. It's still pretty easy.
It's good, but not great. I don't think it will sell nearly as much Xbox One's as posters here have claimed.
This makes you look and sound stupid. EA has nothing to do with the game's elements. Respawn is an independent team. EA is just the publisher.
How is it pretty easy? Do you realize that killing bots helps your team very, very little? Because you can go 24-6 doesn't mean it's easy...when you've done almost nothing to help your team win. You're getting owned by human players and you're calling the game easy...that's not odd to you?
The bots are stupid. I pretty much ignore them now since they don't do anything. EA is all that is evil with gaming and I hate them for stealing the best devs from the COD team. Excuse me?
