I think if we make it to a game 6, Bagwell should be the DH. He's had good swings in the series.

Saw Roy O at the SouperSalad on Westheimer @ Voss at lunch today with his hottie wife, the dude is tiny in person! Hopefully those greeny veggys give him super powers :)

ok heres what i dont understand...

first off, you guys dont want my opinion, as im from chicago and a sox fan, but i'm not here to talk trash. i just want to know if this is common knowledge, but it's just something i noticed...

almost of all the astros batters have really low stances...theyre almost sitting down. why dont teams just pitch high to them?

Didn't Roger's mother (God rest her soul) say something about him pitching the series winning game? If so then I see the rest of the series going something like this:

    Game 3-Roy dominates. (Stros win)

Game 4-Backe loses a close one to former Stro farm hand Freddie Garcia. (Sox win, go up 3-1)

Game 5-Roger's hammy is still iffy so Garn goes with Pettitte on 3 days rest to stave off elimination and succeeds. (Stros win, back to Chicago)

Game 6-Roger's hammy still iffy, so Garn looks to Roy on 3 days rest. Roy again comes up clutch in the must win to force a game 7. (Stros win, series tied 3-3)

Game 7-Nothing in the world can keep Roger off the mound for game 7. He pitches lights out ala Curt Schilling's bloody sock and his legend grows. (Stros win to take the series in dramatic fashion and Roger's mother knew something no one else did.) ;)

We didn't listen the last time you "stated" squat. Playing in the World Series has nothing to do with luck.

This game is a must-win. And as the best pitcher in the series Roy O will do that just.

Jon Garland is a similar pitcher to Mark Buhrle. He doesn't have overwhelming stuff, but he works quick and throws strikes. The Astro hitters need to be aggressive against him just like they did against Buhrle in Game 2. If we can score a couple of runs and give Roy an early lead, I don't see how we can lose this game.

    5-0 Astros.

    Questions about Game 3:

Who will throw out the 1st pitch tonight?
Who will sing the national athem and God Bless America?
How many celebs will be in the house tonight w/ Astros gear on?
How many K's will Roy-O have?

Heard a couple of things about tonight's game on KTRH.

    Nolan Ryan

    Michael McDonald.

Jon Secada will sing on Wednesday and Big & Rich will sing on Thursday.

Don't know. Hopefully some cool ones.

I predict 9. Roy is gonna dominate tonight! :)

A world series game in Houston.

Man I'm nervous just thinking about it.

    Astros 4
    Sox 1

Roy O pitches a great game.

    Willy T goes yard.

I love getting hurt like in Game 2 and Game 5 of the NLCS..... Its that good pain that you hate at the moment but know that you can come out the next day and take care of business - the ultimate satisfaction.

    Roy-O keeps dealing tonight.

    Im superstitious about predicting scores.

Roy needs to be a red ass yet again and Morgan needs to step it up a notch. I know he homered last game but he needs to do more.
