Anybody know if the game is on TV in Austin? I have Grande and FSSW is showing the longhorns and upn is showing the rangers
On the plus side... MMP looks its most beautiful on day games in April and May (mainly because these are the only months the roof will be open for day games for the season).
I gotta believe that a lot of the problems this team has had early on is simply a lack of focus... which is probably why they're better in the second half of the season, and the playoffs. What the hell is up with allowing the 0-2 hits?!? Not only that, they're all EXTRA base-hits. There's a reason why the Nats are the WORST offensive team in baseball... why Ausmus and the aces aren't exploiting that, I don't know.
Obviously. Look...I was frustrated and pissed when I posted that obviously. I thought Garner would go to Wheeler in that situation. Is Garner always supposed to go to Qualls in that situation? If so, then I did not know that. That was just a terrible game to follow. I would never have thought we would have blown that one with five runs in the first for Oswalt. What a nightmare!
Actually now with Vidro healthy and the addition of Soriano the Nats are a pretty good offensive team. Last year they were bad because Vidro was hurt and Guzman played horribly. They are at least comparable to the Astros offense.
We'll see... they didn't look all that good (except for one game) in the Mets series, and they looked HORRIBLE against Backe on Friday. Plus, they play in that gigantic ballpark... where all HR's die... and that's not going to help their guys out much either.
Well I hope the Nats crash and burn like last season, although it does help out our cause if they are at least decent. All the Nl east teams outside of the Marlins are decent. I am hoping they fight with each other and all die out in mediocrity.
Don't worry... they will. The Mets don't have enough starters outside of Pedro... and Wagner is going to have his worst season as a closer (Its still better than anything else they've had). The Phillies are streaky... but they're just not stellar at any one thing (no aces, no closer, and no stacked lineup). Actually, the Marlins might be semi-decent... perhaps, .500. Their young players are always more MLB-ready than most team's young players. The Astros main competition will be themselves (as always) and the Cubs... who can quietly be good if they stay above water till Prior/Wood come back.
