Allen was like 3-25 from 3 in the finals other than his historic game 2. He absolutely sucked down the stretch in that series.
Haha, I'm still here too. How about how Miami couldn't get a shot off in the last minute? Two barreled gun my foot.
people talk all the time about how sick they are of hearing about the heat/lebron, but look at the ratings for the decision, look at the atmosphere in boston for this game (a season opener!), and look at a regular season non-rockets game getting 23+ pages in the nba dish. heat are one of the most interesting teams in a while.
As legendary as Lakers gold uniform is, it did not give Gasol super powers. Prior to coming to Lakers he hadn't even won a single playoff game, let alone a series. Rockets dont have a Kobe. They dont have a James or Wade either. Sign me up on the Bosh bandwagon when we get a player of that caliber.
he's too old; he loses his legs. i expect him to suck in the playoffs again this year. pierce is losing his 1-on-1 ability. boston's D will carry them again, but miami and orlando will be the 2 best in the east.
Did you not see the crowd during the 22nd win on the winning streak, or during Games 4 and 6 against the Lakers? The Celtics (Eastern Conference Champions) are opening up against the much hyped Heat. I'm pretty sure if the Rockets had won the West and played the home opener against the Heat on TNT, the crowd would be no different.
The Celtics are much deeper this year. I don't expect Allen to suck in the playoffs, but you never know, he's been surprisingly streaky. When Perk is back...WOW, I think they're the favorites to win it all if they're rested and healthy.
Roll eyes = I don't have a legit argument so I'll just post emoticons. He probably doesn't want LBJ on the Rockets because 'he can't lead a team'. For all the Ray Allen talk (well deserved btw), watching this game just reminds me the Celt's were a Kendrick Perkins' injury away from beating the Lakers last year. Sheesh...
I'm rolling my eyes because the topic has been beaten to death. Believe what you will, but I've always believe that actions speak louder than words. Yea yea I know......Cleveland something or another
Thats true and all, but how many of those big occasions happen for the Rockets per year? I can't help but notice the crowd is much too lethargic and sleepy during lots of other games. Even in small farm towns things get busy when it comes to Xmas. You can't say Toyota Center is anything like what Arco used to be under Adelman.
pretty much the opposite. one amazing game and then a bunch of horrible games (well one other game was ok).
Nique wasn't Kobe, but the man was a ATG level player stuck on bad teams. I watched his games against the Celtics on ESPN classic and he played Bird to a standstill.
You remember the Rockets crowd during the championship years? Let the Rockets win a few championships (even just one) and make it to the WCF consistently, and you'll see a better crowd. It's no different in Houston than anywhere else.
