Am I the only who Taverez should start? Burke is being overrated. He has 2 good hits the whole post season. He hasn't been consistant.

Baseball is unique in several aspects: a hot pitcher can both shut down the opposition AND fire up his own team. A devestating loss can go right out the window if you get a hot pitcher the next game. With that in mind we still clearly have the advantage - either Clemens or Roy can have a shutdown game. Of course I was screaming that Garner should have pitched Roy and Clemens in 6 & 7 last year, so...

Every group needs an Eeyore and I'm happy to play the part :) I agree with you in that my severe depression from yesterday's game has actually transformed into a sense of excitement.

Ah what the hell..we'll pull it off tomorrow. :)

I am tired of the choking, THIS IS OUR YEAR !!!

Roy comes out and dominates, and our offense makes it a laugher.

    ASTROS 9

    Fards 1

On to the ChiSox baby !!

    MadMax,

I am counting on you to suck it up and watch with the rest of us die hards, we need all hands on deck...don't dwell on what might have been, realize how sweet the nectar will taste now that we have blown a chance.

We are up 3-2, with Roy and Roger....I BELIEVE baby...and the Astros need all the true fans they can muster.....forget that game.....it is over...we lost.....just as Kent's homer did not demorilize the Cards last year.....Pujols homer will not hurt us....it will just make us mad.....don't get mad...get even !!

My depression is turning around into a fire as well. I'm a little scared, but the time for everyone to get behind the team, get positive, and root the stros on is now.

We can do this. Roy is who want, and this Astros team has been great at bouncing back all season. We just need to get it done.

??? In the postsesaon, he's 7 for 19, with a double, a triple, 2 HR's, and the highest slugging % on the team?

If we'd been told before the series that we'd be up 3-2 with roy and roger going to the hill in 6 & 7 I think we'd be pretty happy. Its all perspective. SO PUT IT IN PERSPECTIVE DAMMIT !

If baseball is a sport where things seem to even out...then I would venture to guess game 5 was the nuetralizer to game 4. I didn't really expect to win game 4 with Backe on the mound, but then he pitched his heart out. Then Larussa and Edmonds got thrown out. Then Pujols makes a baserunning mistake. Then Bruntlett and Everett turn an impossible double play. Seems like we beat the odds in that game, and things had to even out, therefore we lost a nailbiter in 5. For whatever reason the Astros have had to battle all season long and show tremendous resilience. I guess this is just another test for them. Hell, the Rockets went through the same fire en route to their first championship. So they gotta suck it up and move on. Roy O needs to come out and dominate again, the bats need to find a way to score off a vulnerable Mulder. And Lidge needs to come in and redeem himself...off Pujols no less (just like Roger in game 4 against Atlanta). I"ll gladly take a blowout though..let's put it away early.

I know I'm questioning my signature... but I will NOT desert my team in their biggest time of need.

Go Astros... all the freaking way.

Man, I have all the confidence in Roy Oswalt. I just love the way he goes about his business when he's on the mound. If we don't win tomorrow I don't see us winning a game 7 in St. Louis.
