Man, the normally monotone Bob Allen (Ch. 13 sports anchor) is out of his mind, just celebrating, tearin' up, and being congratulated by the Astros owner for finally makin' it. Overall, the Ch.13 people are just rubbin' it in to Card fans, hilarious stuff
BTW, would the performance by Roy O be considered "Clutch" enough for you??? I went to Academy after the game, I swear it was like a race there. Parking spilled into the neighboring stores parking lots. I would guess there was 600-800 people there. I went to the front. They had only 4 cashiers!!!! , and Im guessing a table with probably a couple of hundred shirts in each size. I went home and ordered the stuff online.
Congrats Stros and Congrats Houston. Just a question, when the Astros win will it be better than the Rockets winning the first time or just different
WHAT A F!@KING GAME! oswalt is a machine. i love craig biggio, he just busted out a "good things happen to those who wait." dude ran out of baseball cliches, but i love him anyways.
YAAAAAY!!!!! I remember going to my first Astros game about 15 years ago and getting a life size Jeff Bagwell National league ROY poster and to see him finally go to a World Series leaves me just short of being teary. I' am just so happy for those guys. And the best thing about it was seeing my favorite baseball player and dominate the Cards tonight. How about Roy Oswalt, NLCS MVP!!!!!!! GO 'STROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear Carlos Beltran, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... (deep breath) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Sincerely, The City of Houston
Forty-three years is a long time to wait, I'm numb. I couldn't watch the game, still upset about the last one, but I am thrilled for the team. I still wish we could have won it at Minute Maid, that would have been special, but this ain't bad. A WS win in Houston, and all is forgotten about the "home run." I get a new Astro hat from a Cardinal fan at work.
I can't believe I bet on the Stros in Vegas to win the World Series. When I placed the bet it was more of something I did to convince myself that the Astros still had a chance. Deep down I thought I was placing a losing bet, but I did it anyway. Regardless of that ... This is one of the best nights of my life! This is why I suffered through horrible seasons in the early ninties, losses to the Braves in the playoffs, and Game 5. Man it was worth it!!!!
