Harrisment: Bro. Props to you for bringing it over this Friday. But FYI, we don't have an X-Box, so bring the whole shebang over. FWIW, we have 34 lbs. of Turkey, 4 desert pies and my 3 sides plus mashed potatoes.. Oh, and of course, the egg nog, 3 litres vodka and 2 litres rum. We'll have a blast period, but I'd like to see why this game is fun? Todd & I have no idea.
I break it, I buy it. dummy! I've broken several things there. Just don't let Tom near it. That said, I take full responsibilty if anything is screwed up, but considering I'm one of the hosts, let me know if you don't like anything. But ultimately ill pay for any **** that gets damaged.
i skipped easy and just went to medium and actually adjusted to the foot pedal pretty well. i'm working on hard and the jump up is pretty nasty. i've had to slow songs down on practice mode to get the hang of it. of course i've never played drums, i imagine a real drummer would tear through this.
Went to Walmart last night around 11pm and they allowed me to exchange the whole game for a new one. Just told'em my drum pedal didn't work and they didn't really care too much. Barely bothered to open the box up. Anyways I now have a working RockBand setup and the drums are harder than I thought they would be (on hard that is). If people are still looking for this the Walmart in Pearland on 518 and 288 has quite a few boxes. From what I saw last night they had 6 boxes for the 360 and 5 for the PS3.
I ordered mine online from Best Buy last night, hopefully I get an email tomorrow morning that it's in stock and ready to be picked up so I can play this all weekend long.
You can play bass, the game only comes with one guitar though. I hook up my Guitar Hero 2 guitar so that we can have someone play lead, and another play bass.
I was at CC last night and they didn't have the PS3 version, but they had the 360 versions...I'm not sure how hard it is to get it still...This was at 75/Meadow in Dallas...
Hey guys I was just wondering if you could get the instruments separately? I already have two guitars for Gh2 and Gh3 so I wouldnt want the whole package. Anyone know? Thanks.
At this moment, no you can't. You can buy the game separately if you just want to play guitar for now. From what I've read they won't sell the individual instruments until sometime next year. But really any USB microphone will work, so the only thing you can't get is the drums on their own.
Thanks for the info bro, as for the mic could we use that crappy mic that comes with the 360 console?
If you are talking about the mic on the headset, then I read somewhere that you can use that, but it is not as quality a mic as some of the others so it won't pick up as well.
Got one of my friends to buy this for ps3 and i like it a lot. biggest complaint is only 1 guitar for ps3 unless you buy another set or wait until Feb 2008!!! Guitar hero's guitars dont work on ps3... I have guitar hero for xbox 360 and still enjoy just having guitar battles...but rock band is def fun for a group of people...
Has anyone here had hardware issues with the peripherals? I've been reading horror stories about drum sets that aren't very responsive and guitars with serious strum bar problems. I bought one of the first packs that was released and it will be my sons Christmas present...but I would hate it if when he opened it we couldn't play it all because some of the stuff was broken. Who knows how long it would take to send it in to Harmonix and get them to replace it.
I've had ZERO problems with the drum set. My guitar strum bar isn't working, but that could be because my idiot dumbass friend got drunk and tried doing the Pete Townshend power strum. Yeah, didn't work real well. The good news is, for the first time EVER, EA is actually being really good when it comes to customer service. I called on Monday, they said they'd have a new guitar to me by Friday at the latest. Love this game.
That's good to know that they are being quick on replacements. I was worried that with supply being low after the holiday season that I would have trouble getting replacements if some of the stuff didn't work right out of the box.
What level is everyone playing on with their band? I can play on hard on the guitar, but drummer cant do more than easy and its hard enough findin someone besides me who can pass vocals on easy.... basically we cant get any more fans cause we are playing on too easy of a level. wish we could get more songs....or might have to find a new band to play with ahahha
