yeah but bagwell's still coming off a bad shoulder. and he sniffed the ball more than lamb and ensberg against much less heat.

So much for the Sox bullpen being rusty

All Ensberg and Lamb had to do was hit a medium deep fly ball....a small fly ball....any professional hitter should be able to do that....

    And Ensberg failed TWICE !!!

Ugh, this was a very winnable game.

It's not that Sox deserves it, it's that Astros dont deserve it.

no use wasting someone else's arm on tonight's bats. if we can't score w/ 1st and 3rd and 0 outs, how likely is it that we score in the 9th.

I guess he's saving them for tommorrow night. Not necessarily a bad move since were not scoring any more runs tonight.

Hell, just make contact... a run would've even scored on a DP.

'Stros didn't exactly play horrible. The whole team battled tonight in a game that could have been a blowout (w/ Roger leaving early)... they did execute some timely hitting earlier in the game, but did fall back into their old habits late, and could have definitely stolen this game. But that's nothing new from this team. I still feel confident that if Pettite brings his A game tomorrow, we'll be just fine.

Burke should have replaced Lamb. He could have bunted and he hasn't struckout lately.

Is it good to move Morgan to 6 or 7, he is hitless in the postseason.

I will say that I'm not that impressed with the Sox lineup.
Clemens was really off tonight and our pen has really looks good.

We had our chances...just no situational hitting and great bullpen work by them. There pen scares me a lot more than the Braves and Cards!!!
