w/ lefty Buehrle pitching. Against righties Lamb will start I hope. Biggio Taveras Berkman Ensberg Lane Bagwell/Lamb Burke Ausmus Everett
had a general question about the stros offense that I've been dying to ask for months but, why is our offense so low scoring? I mean I've thought about this over and over we've got 3 potential 30-40 hr guys in berkman, ensberg, and lane (granted lane showed signs of really breaking out but hasn't joined the club yet) is it because we've got too many contact guys like biggio (granted 26 hrs, but overall not trying to hit for power) , taveras, burke, everett, and ausmus?
How [much] will the cool weather in Chicago affect Roger's "tender" Hamstring? Basically, is cold good, bad or indifferent for someone with someone with a probable problematic Hammy? The Chi-Sox do not scare me. Their pitchers do not scare me. Hopefully, Ensberg will come to life in this series with extra base hits and clucth RBIs like he did in the last game. Hopefully Lane continues to supply STUPID power. Qualls, Wheeler and Lidge are hot now. Bigde is locked in. Lance is Lance. Should be fun.
My company has two seats on the club level and I thought I'd share the sheer beauty of the tickets. I posted a pic of our WS tix last year...but things didn't pan out. So...I waited this year...so as to not jinx the Astros. The third game ticket didn't scan well so I cut it off. $185 face value...just saw some tickets on eBay get a bid at $13,000. WOW!!! Enjoy!!!
Ryne "The Idiot" Sandberg, once again picked the opposing team to beat the Astros...lets hope his streak of being wrong continues. What amazes me is that he continues to believe that the opposing team has better starting pitching. Yahoo must have been desperate for a MLB analyst, so they got one cheap. Go ASTROS
I really can't blame anyone for picking the Sox. They have got as good, if not better pitching, plus better overall hitting. That being said, I also can't blame anyone for picking the Stros. It's amazing what this team has done since mid-May. They really are easy to underestimate. Go Stros!
Here is my scouting report for the Chicago White Sox: Albert Pujols does not play for the Chicago White Sox.
Holy ****....i dont ****ing believe it....i am in a state of shock. I have been rooting for this team since I was 7 (1976) and I got an Enos Cabell foul ball. I still have the ball and now I have the newspaper clipping I have been hoping for for the last 30 years. I'm at a loss for words. As for the WS....do you guys really think Bags will DH given how Lamb and Burke have been hitting? Tough call. I said Astros in 5 last series....and I was right in my mind. Astros in 5 again. Clemens closes the deal at home and walks off into the sunset.
if we win game one, it will really put a blow to the SOX, and downtown houston will be rock as if though an 9.0 earthquake just pass through
