I just read on the Chron's site that Tim McClelland is the head of the umpire crew for this series and will be behind the plate tomorrow. Isn't that the guy that Roger got into it with last week for having the extremely tight strike zone? And the same guy that had screwed us the night before on a bad call at 1st base?
Based on the pictures that I got off google. That is not the ump. I thought it was an african american umpire in that series that really had a tight zone and the call at first.
Exactly... that was CB Bucknor, who is considered by many (players and coaches) to be the WORST umpire out there. McClelland is pretty good... although his most memorable moment is throwing out George Brett in the pine-tar incident.
McClelland IIRC is the guy that takes about 5 minutes to make his "STRIIIIIIIKE" call. It can get annoying, but I think if it's who I think he is, is a pretty good ump, although umps always suck regardless
Yes... he has a delayed stirke call (which serves its purpose... he has the most consistent zone in the league).
Cardinals vs. Astros lineup - positions. Found this poll on mlb.com: http://www.mlb.com/mlb/fantasy/player_challenge/pc_game_mlb_42.html?m=a Though I don't think Chris Burke is starting, 610 this morning said it was going to be Lamb. Great matchup. Edge goes to Astros.
I'm so pumped about tonights game...I'll be watching it from Home as I need to do some things around the house... Cuck the Fards...
Chris Burke will likely get the start in the games we face Mulder... as early as game 2 (which is good, since I want him to get into a game soon after his HR... his confidence has to be sky-high).
Tomorrow Night my band (Apollo XVIII) will be performing on the Fox 26 pre-game show. I hope you guys watch. It's at 6:30. Chance
So we are over at Niko Nikos today having lunch and on the way back I see a dude in a Cardinals jersey - I almost flip out and want to run the guy over or honk at him or something. guess I scared my coworkers a little bit.... GO ASTROS!!!
