    Astros come off the dramatic clincher to beat the Cards 5-2. Remember, the Astros won two games at Busch late in the season, including the last one when Carpenter was the Redbirds' starter. I believe with the confidence from those two wins in STL and the momentum from Game 4 against ATL that the Astros will win the series in 6 games.

    I was born in 78, so I grew up with Jose and the gang. Glenn Davis was my idol until Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio came along.

    I was born just a tad earlier than you. I remember being *bent* when I'd come home from school and Scooby-Doo was preempted on Channel 26 by the Astros. Of course, that all changed...

    Thon and Doran, Cruz, Ash, Garner, Walling, Ryan, Sambito, Ruhle, Reynolds, Puhl, Tony Scott... Those were the days!! I remember Don Sutton pitching for us for two years. Omar Moreno for a year, Jerry Mumphrey, Ray Knight... Joaquin Andujar was a freak, Kerfeld was fat, Señor Smoke was even fatter... The coneheads were funny... Fred Brocklander is a freaking idiot...

    David_D just reported on ESPN790 that Andy is recorving from flu like symptoms. He said Tim Purp informed the media that Andy will be ready for game one.


    Game 1 = Andy P (Goodmorning)

    Game 2 = Roy O (Goodafternoon)

    Game 3 = Roger C (Goodnight)

    Game 4 = Brandon B (Thanks for coming)


    I cannot believe that most Cards fans think we don't stand a chance :rolleyes:

    You can always kill a little time by watching the Yankees/Angels game 5 tonight. You know just to scout ahead. ;)

    I have the Stros in 7, but I pray for 5 or 6. It's just the Astros never take the easy road.
