We discussed this in the other thread, and think it's a good idea to have a second thread. This is where the innocent, clean and unspoilered members talk about Game of Thrones. We are not the Book Readers who spoil us. We are the Unsullied viewers. You can call me by my slave name ... "heyrodent" So, let's begin... What's up with Theon? I'm not really sure if I'm as interested in knowing who his captures are as I am rewinding Episode 5 again for my 6th time for the ginger sex scene. Oh...and what's up with the little girl with porridge plague helping the guy in the dungeon. I missed something. Must rewatch. Lastly, Samwell is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters and actors. The scene at the start of e06 when he sang to the girl and her unnamed, doomed son was excellent.
Yes, and you can cut our nipples off, too, and we won't flinch. And we have dragons. And a blonde goddess to die for!
yeah seriously pissed every time I click on a spoiler on the thread and it's talking about a book plot that hasn't even been reached yet. Seriously think some people just do it to troll. We have a damn book thread.
Do the books have pictures! yeah, I know. But, let's give this thread a try. What's worse than the spoilers in the other thread is arguing about the spoilers. People aren't really trolling (i hope not); they are just as excited as us to discuss the show. And I can see how it is hard to know what is a spoiler and what isn't. The show is so good, it really does deserve two threads. One where spoilers are allowed, and this one. So, back to the story. What's up with the little girl with porridge plague and the man in the dungeon? Did I miss something? All I need is a little excuse to rewatch an episode ... so just need someone to steer me in the right direction.
The girl is Shireen, Stannis' daughter. She was friends with Davos and when she was told he was in the dungeon she went to visit him.
That girl is stannis baratheon's daughter and his only living child. She and stannis' wife (along with jars containing his stillborn sons) are both locked up in a dungeon. Stannis' wife was mentioned back in season 2 as being ill, but we never got to see her. She also knows, and is glad, about him and Melisandre doing the dirty. All we know so far is that he and his family are really, realy weird.
As others mentioned, the girl is Stannis daughter, and we don't know in the show what is up with her face, but presumably they will explain it at some point. The man is Davos who was imprisoned earlier this season for trying to kill Melisandre, and was the one shipwrecked at the start of the season after his ship blew up from the wild fire last season and he blamed her for that. He used to be a smuggler. He brought Melisandre on the row boat to deliver the shadow baby to kill Renly in season 2, and was made Hand of the King to Stannis prior to the attack on Kings Landing, though I doubt he still holds that title after his imprisonment.
watch game of thrones! you gotta see game of thrones! game of thrones is the best show ever! Breaking Bad should have been replaced with Game of Thrones. Oops, thought this was Swoly's thread.
Awesome update guys! Now I remember and know which episodes to rewatch! At least, I didn't miss why she has Porridge Plague.
She caught greyscale as an infant and survived, but the left half of her face was disfigured by the disease. Wiki for the show not the books... http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Greyscale Porridge Plague was what Margaery Tyrell was making up to mess with Sansa.
That link is a good bit of spoiler-free background. I was going to post something to that effect. As a guy who read the books, there are definitely some things like this that aren't secrets or spoilers, it's just that they can't take the time to explain every little thing well in the show. If I didn't think it would be overkill, I would say there should be a thread where non-book readers can ask book readers for non-spoiler context that the show didn't have time to get to. But that's probably too convoluted a concept for a good thread.
When it comes to favorite actors, that's one thing. Clearly, Peter Dinklage is off the charts #1. Curious for those who read other boards...is who is best actor really up for debate? Now, as for a combination of acting and story-line, then I think that breaks down into which of the three main story-lines you are most interested in: Daenyris and her Drakarys The North and the White Walkers the control of the Thrones, while they last or, which of the above show the most t*** I'm for 1 and 2...and of course 4 will just happen. But until the Drakarys grow up (isn't it supposed to take 25 years), I'm all about the White Walkers and want to see how Samwell does in a White Walker onslaught. Isn't he one of the only living people to see them? I Love This Game!
Oh, and as Margaery did, don't forget to pray for a short winter. lols what is that...2 years vs 7...or sumpin
