his daughter and grandson being killed, ive been waiting for walder frey to get his hopefully it's coming soon. it's very possible that he dgaf...
Seems like it might have been a toss-up between the Knight of Flowers and the Kingslayer. I would buy tickets to that fight!
I do not really care for Walder Frey, he does a better job in the 'The Strain' In GoT he is just one of those characters....
At the same time, Barristan Selmy was supposed to also be on that same level of badass swordsman and it only took 5-10 Sons of Harpy to take him down. Seems like the show doesn't want to make some of these main characters look too overpowered.
The pre-season trailers did show a big laughing raise-your-glass banquet at The Twins (?), the location of the Red Wedding. Naturally it doesn't give anything away; it's about two or three seconds at most. But it is about time the Freys got their comeuppance. Wow. Hard to believe nearly three seasons have passed since the Red Wedding.
The point of the "please" scene is that Melisandre didn't really bring him back to life. She just asked the Lord of Light to do it which he/she did. She essentially just prayed and god answered.
To be fair, Barristan Selmy was a much older man by the time he died. His hayday was when he was kings guard for the Targaryens.
Boy, that will be a dangerous belief for Ramsey to take. He better be prepared for major problems with the Frey's The Lord dies. Frey is going to want to see the Lady (his daughter) and his grandson, the Heir of the North... The whole reason the Boltons are where they are right now is because of the agreements Roose made with the Lannisters and House Frey. The Red Wedding happened because of his agreements with the Frey's to take out the Starks. One agreement was to marry one of Walder's ugly daughters (Walda) and create an heir. Frey will be pissed. That said, I suppose he doesn't know a son and heir of the North was born,,,,yet. dun dun dunnnnn
I was listening to Hibbard on EW. He was talking about how when you bring someone back from the dead you diminish the fans reactions to real deaths of other characters. He suggested that this is why they didn't do Lady Stoneheart. If they had brought back LS and Snow then it would just be too much and ruin all the suspense of future fights to the death in the show. Seems reasonable.
He likely doesn't know that a son was born, but i think he knows that his daughter was pregnant (potentially with a legitimate heir to the North). Also, there is no way Walder Frey is going to ignore these murders. He agreed to the red wedding just because Rob Stark married someone else. In addition, with his lack of honor and Tywin dead, Roose was his last powerful ally. It isn't even about the lives to him. He cares about power and control. Rob took it away and payed dearly for it. I expect the same for Ramsey.
That's what I was expecting as soon as that happen. Ramsey didn't plan this out, at least my impression, and there are going to be repercussions. Frey's reaction was the first thing I thought of after it all went down.
I can agree with that if you bring back a character without any changes to the the character...comic book style...but I would think that if they bring in Lady Stoneheart all Pet Semetary like, and then plant a seed that John could be all messed up too....I think there would be some success in that. I think they can even pull off Lady Stoneheart now successfully...My opinion of course.
And it's about finding nice husbands for his ugly daughters  I agree. The only way Ramsey can snake his way out of this is to convince Frey that enemies did this and they can still create an heir by rallying behind Ramsey as Lord complete with Ramsey marrying another of his ugly daughters...afterall. Which is basically redoing the Roose agreement, but with Ramsey this time. Otherwise, it's war.
Not sure if that would work since he knows he needs Sansa and an heir from her to have some type of control of the north. Also hope the Umbers don't screw over the Starks. Those guys were supposed to be bros
Its a daughter and a homely one at that Walder doesn't give a d*mn about his kids much less his daughters. . . he gives them away like after dinner mints. He will probably be miffed but not that much as long as the alliance stands I think House Lannister is the glue between the two houses more than the marriage Rocket River
House Bolton last their support of House Lannister the second Ramsey married Sansa IMO. I'm pretty sure Roose Bolton made they comment to Ramsey after Sansa escaped.
