It would be understandable to me that a disabling spear strike might not actually pierce the anatomy of dragon flame plumbing, but it's really hard to ignore the scene showing flames explode out of Viserion's side the moment he's hit -- definitely looks like it pierced the fuel lines. Then blood pours out once Viserion stops ejecting and igniting the fuel.



So yeah, your point here is one of the ones I have to give the choreographers epic-scene-leeway for how awesome the spear strike looked with the explosion.

I think your argument could be presented the other way around though: "The spear shouldn't have damaged the fuel lines, since the bolt to Drogon didn't, but it still could have dropped him/hit an artery. Those damn TV Writers did the explosion just for show."

 

I just think it would be funny and also honor wight lives. Yes, I said it.

 

In the BOOKS the blue fire comes from the TONGUE, the red fire from the BELLY. DUH. I never read the books though, but I wanna HUG something.

 

Just reservoir dogged season 6 finale. Why the f isn't everyone moving to the citadel? That's the best place in the world. And what is all the green stuff...boom. Although the plot to gather everyone was bad ass by cerise I, seen it before in Star Trek reboot part 2 w khan getting star fleet into one room for attack.
