Well there would be no reason for the Lannisters not to kill Trystane at this point EXCEPT to prevent war with Dorne. Either Dorne goes to war, but house Martell dies (remember that Doran has said Trystane is the only heir) OR there is no war and Trystane the heir is held prisoner by the Lannisters. Either way, Elaria loses unless her end game is simply killing Myrcella.
I hope right before Jamie does it personally, he leans in and whispers into Ellaria's ear: "Bad p***y" Fin
We'll see. I could see Jaime opt to not kill Trystane, what with the changes/growth he's had. Cersei, obviously, but with Jaime... hard to say for sure. Plus I think it's clear by now that Elaria isn't really good at this whole "plotting against others" thing. Her earlier "rebellion" could not have been more pathetic and was a predictable failure. Maybe it's just that she, like Cersei, isn't as nearly as good at the game as others (like Littlefinger and Tyrion, for example) are. Much of the history of Westeros is filled with people doing obviously stupid things in order to get what they want (or so I've heard): Spoiler All of that unaired history I talked about in the first paragraph, the stuff that fuels Book Reader Twitter and the outstanding columns of my colleague Jason Concepcion? From what I can tell, it’s basically the history of idiots. Sure, there are exceptions here and there — good kings and nice maesters who really did their best before getting eaten by a dragon or decapitated by their nannies. But, by and large, the recorded history of Westeros seems to be a chronicle of unimaginable ****-ups, from Sea to Shivering Sea. (Remember the noble Dance of the Dragons Shireen was nattering on about last week? It was about social-climbing royal bastards attempting to hop onto the backs of 30-ton, fire-breathing killing machines. It worked out about as well as you’d imagine.)
Ramsay Bolton still undefeated. Sure, he lost a few of his favorite toys in the finale, but he got to murder a bunch of people, anyway, so he probably still went to bed with a smile on his face, after a dozen or so exhausting rapes, of course. Ramsay is God in this story.
Oh man, this is another point about how stupid Dorne was. Didn't Bron get stabbed by Tyene's poison tipped blades? If so, it entered his freaking bloodstream yet it had (relatively) the same time of onset as Ellaria's kiss? Seriously, there must be a single writer responsible for this catastrophe.
I think he is written so successfully because he gets to fulfill all of the showrunners' fantasies. Rape? Flaying? Killing a bunch of helpless people? Standing up to daddy? Going Navy SEAL on Stannis? Deliver cool lines? Torture? Hot consorts? I can just imagine the showrunners getting off as they wrote the Sansa scene. He's so much the symbol of House Bolton that during the scene meant to show the triumph of Bolton over Stannis they didn't even bother to show Roose. LOL
Could it be possible that there are actually different types of poison (gasp!)? Could it be possible that a lil teenage girl weighing less then a 100 lbs would collapse quicker then a 200 lbs battle hardened sellsword? Could it be possible that Myrcella has dabbled in poison multiple times through out her life and her body is just a little bit used to it?
She wants war with the Lannisters, I don't think she really cares if it ends up getting Trystane killed.
Snow and Stannis were the only ones who cared about the white walkers. Now that they're dead, what other character will take up the fight? Or maybe the zombies are suppose to win after all. lol at Daavos and Melisandre stuck at the wall together. Wonder how that is going to play out.
Pretty much. She's a vindictive ***** and Doran wants peace and she wants war. This could help her get her war.
The ship may turn around, we don't know, the poison moves faster when the heart rate accelerates - like when she was recognizing Jamie as her father. Lots of cliff hangars..... DD
Well, they made it obvious that the poisons were the same. Why else have that scene with Tyene and Bronn? As for your other points, they are plausible, but I still point to bad writing
Wouldn't it be something if... Meryn Trant actually died at Syrio Forel's hands in Season 1? What if Syrio is a faceless man who was acting as Meryn Trant all these seasons on a mission for the faceless god and THEN Arya killed Syrio (thinking it was Meryn). I know it's a stretch...especially given the pedophila aspect of Trant...but still intriguing to think about.
She'd also be killed for this as Doran already told her he wouldn't give her another chance. It would be really stupid as since the Trant-Forel fight we've seen Trant mock Selmy, abuse Sansa, rape a little girl and beat little girls.
Even if they do turn the ship around, I'm not sure it would do them any good. There's no cure for the poison, and Jaime isn't exactly a good fighter anymore. I mean, he might be able to get the Dornish leader to execute Ellaria, but what's done is done and his daughter is dead.....probably.
Mocking Selmy...so what Abuse Sansa...so what Rape and beat girls...yes, but we've seen these things done before in this show "for the greater good" so its not like its an unwritten rule or something.
There is a cure for the poison, Ellaria used it. But even if that was the last vial in the world, Jamie would have no way of knowing that. Now he could probably surmise that she was poisoned and he might not turn around because he wouldn't know what to expect if he did. Maybe he thinks "She's dead, I have Trystane in my custody should I really turn around and give them the chance to arrest me and take back Trystane?" He's better off just keeping control of Trystane as a hostage.
There is a cure. It would seem safe to assume the Sand Snakes still have at least 2 vials of it. I'm curious to see if they might try to save her using Bronn's blood seeing as he did have the antidote. At the very least, he'll know what it is happening to her and that she was unquestionably poisoned, while leaving little doubt to who did it.
