I must say, this is one of the most packed episodes Ive seen yet, sans Danerys; She was boring as ever. They have completely butchered her story line and picked a terrible actress. Cercies walk of shame seemed much more graphic than the books. Next season will be very interesting.
Well that was a bit upsetting to say the least. A lot of cliffhangers and surprising moments, but Jon's end was easily the most shocking of all. Spoiler And reading all the recaps out there, it sounds like its pretty definitive, unless the showrunners and the actor himself are deceiving everyone. And that pisses me off more because they build him up and drop hints that he has a bigger role to play in this world. And then of course there's still questions surrounding his lineage. To end it like that pretty much pisses me off. Not very many people left at all to root for anymore.
If Jon Snow really is dead, then what other reason is there to watch this show? Khaleesi/Dany? lmao Only thing I can figure is, maybe it's possible that Jon Snow might not be back until late in season 6, maybe ep 9, and those scenes were filmed this past season to help "keep it real."
Jon Snow isn't dead, there's just no way. I was was curious how they were gonna go about bringing him back, but once Melisandre happened to stroll in it became pretty evident. I doubt she went all the way back to castle black just to break the bad news to Davos.
I'm all for Team Ramsay. He just wins. Another thing I don't like about the show is how they slowly and slowly build up a storyline and then all of a sudden they go from 0-60 to the climax. I can understand skipping battle scenes for financial reasons, although very silly to believe Stannis's depleted army stood a fighting chance against the Bolton's (the show made it seem more fair than it should've been). But I hated Arya's scene, as I usually do anyway. She all of a sudden infiltrated Trant's pedophile harem, and can change her face at will. Plus, the way she pulled off the masks and the way the girl turned into Jaqen was eye-roll worthy. Just bad storytelling. Saaaand Snaaaaaakes. Very lame. Dany's story is pretty sad. Didn't like how we're supposed to fill in the gaps again with Tyrion, Jorah, and Daario safely in the pyramid. They spent a bit too much time on Cersei's walk of shame and Zombie-Mountain was pretty funny. The show has introduced so much more supernatural stuff that it's getting a bit ridiculous and deus ex machina'ish for me.
I don't think so. In the zoomed out shots it totally looks like her face was CG'd onto someone else's body. The only times where it looks real is when it's zoomed in, and of course, you don't see below her neck. Don't think Lena Headey is the type to agree to being nude.
The walk of shame and the entire religion subplot were just ridiculously dumb. Cersei could have been easily killed, given how much the city hates her. How were four dudes with sticks suppose to keep her safe? Also yea, heard it was a body double too. Not that it matters.
I'm pretty sure it was a double, too. In the grooming scene, you never see face and head together. As she's walking, it's always zoomed out so it's easier to hide the CGI. Seeing her in other shows/movies, she was never that full figured.
Last episode was crazy.... There is just no way to root for anyone on this show. Interesting that Bran or Rickon was never part of this season at all. There is still no explanation for third eye raven.
Best season finale for me. Boltons are in charge of the North for now, Littlefinger is lurking in the background. Lannisters/Tommen fell pretty hard, but it seems they are going to have extra motivation to really go after their enemies next season. I think Dorne will play a bigger role next season, especially with trystane martell on the small council and his love murdered. Out of the Starks, I can't imagine them all ending up dead, but you never know. Will melisandre revive Jon Snow? Did all the snow soften Sansa's fall and Brienne happens to be closeby?
As for the who to root for.... This show makes it pretty clear that being a "good guy" is not a wise thing to be in a world like this. Ned, Robb, and Jon mirror what we hope men of power would be like. However, their naivety and being too principled with too much honor proved to not only kill them, but tear everything apart around them. Because of their collective naivety, the North now belongs to the worst type of men, the Boltons.
Can't sleep thinking about Jon snow's passing. Let the silly predictions begin.... For the watch.. Boom. For the watch... Boom.. Season ends showing snows dead body and his royal blood flowing. I guess the witch persuaded the Nightwatch to kill Jon Snow for a good reason.
