Why introduce a pretty wildling and not have her show boobs? Also I hope Stannis' fleet is more than a bunch of rowboats. Great battle sequences especially from Tormund and the wildling mom. This is the quality of battle choreography I've come to expect from HBO, not the sandsnakes fiasco.
yea i got that vibe. The only reason for that scene to exist was to foreshadow Olie doing something stupid/aggressive.
A damn impressive episode. Winter has finally arrived. It was by far the most epic battle on the series, wish they would have gotten Neil Marshall to direct it though, still great stuff.
One would think the threat must be real or Night's Watch would've laughed at the White Walkers. Also, I believe there's a bunch of napalm sitting under King's Landing and 3 very OP dragons. That battle was pretty epic. Although half the time, I got confused because during battle, it was showing something get killed by multiple attackers, and the attackers all looked human. Guessing too much work to CGI those parts and just pretend they are non-skeletal undead.
That was one hell of an episode, and usually each season saves the best episode for the 9th episode. Makes me wonder what is in store for next week.
My speculation was that the kid has gathered those who disagreed with Snow's move and set up an ambush. Or maybe even set up a death trap for when the Wildlings arrived at the Wall. Then Snow would be faced with a tough decision: watch it happen or fight his brothers to protect the Wildlings. But that theory was shot to crap when the Wights and WW arrived to confirm Snow's agenda. Can anyone provide an update to Arya's list and why each person is on the list?
Just a warning: The "next week on..." bit this time was for the next TWO episodes. So you might not see all of that this coming week. Now, onto the episode at hand, Hardhome: Wow, great episode! Jon Snow finally won me over. It's too bad too, because I think Olly is going to kill him when he gets back lol. Olly is DEFINITELY going to do something, and Sam gave him the justification with his speech about doing something that may seem wrong but is for the greater good. That battle was so epic. The look on the White Walker's face when Jon's sword didn't break was awesome. He was like "WTF????" dead. The only thing I would have changed in the scene is made it clear on screen that members of the Watch and particularly the Wildlings SAW Jon kill the Walker. Right now I'm not clear, was everyone already running? That seems like the type of thing that would galvanize the people who saw it behind him. Great job at establishing the White Walkers as a major threat to all the living. After barely getting out with their lives in a route by the army of the dead, Jon Snow and his clan just watch as the Knight's King raises everyone who just died to join his army. Wow, what a nutshot. You barely survived, thousands of your potential allies died and now they are all on my team. Enjoy the boat ride! So glad the Giant lived. Haha! I was only rooting for 3 people to survive-Jon, Tormund and the Giant. The Giant is awesome and they should definitely keep him around. Arya stuff is getting interesting, Cersei stuff is getting interesting and Danny is finally getting interesting. She's been hard to watch (but easy to look at) for awhile now, so merging her and Tyrion into one plot line is great for viewers. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, but I have no care for Dorne at all. I like Bronn's character and Jamie has been cool at times, but it doesn't matter to me at all. I'm glad they were absent entirely this episode and I hope we only deal with them one more.
One negative is I think the Sansa storyline still isn't being done well. It's lacking any power it should have, which doesn't make sense considering the quality of characters and actors involved. It's just weak in my opinion.
Is that a joke? Did you not see all the full sized ships in the distance in several camera shots? Maybe ships are a new thing to you, but you can't just take a massive wooden ship up to the beach. They anchor out in deeper water and take smaller boats to shore.
Oh hey, I actually really like this wildling chick character! She seems so awesome! Andddddd, shes gone. Y u do dis to me?? Boy oh boy, I thought Jon or Tormund was gonna die in this episode. Glad that didn't happen!
Great episode. Really enjoyed the World War Z ice zombies. The child zombies were very creepy. The little girl looked like she was the same one in the series opening scene. Khaleesi in white is always a pleasant sight. Although her break the wheel speech was cool, she is the type of manager who is too much style over substance.
