So is there going to be more or less sexposition this season? As has probably been mentioned before, I'm very curious to see how the battles will turn out on screen...one in particular.
I think the amount of sex will be ~ equal, but hopefully the sexposition will be less as there is less background info from the past that has to be shared.
Indeed. In season one they pretty much skipped over the battle scenes. They got away with it because really nothing all that important in those battles that needed to be seen first-hand. In the second book, though... they're gonna have to stop cheaping out and actually do some battle stuff. There's no getting away from it this time.
Episode 9 is titled Blackwater, and was written by GRRM. I wouldn't be too worried. That said, even with GoT's huge budget, you're never going to get a Battle of Pelennor fields, unfortunately.
Did any battles actually happen "on screen" in the first book? I don't recall any. There were a nice handful in CoK aside from the main one.
Yeah, they did have at least one battle "on-screen" in the first book: the one where Tyrion was fighting Robb's diversionary force. In the show Tyrion gets knocked out, and wakes up after the battle is over. In the book, he gets into some scrapes, and gets injured and woozy, but is never unconscious. There's a good ten pages describing the battle going on. To be sure, that battle didn't have nearly the scope of the ones in the second book. And as I said, nothing really important happened in it, either.

GAAAAH SO AWESOME Looks like we don't have to worry about battles taking place on screen Spoiler it appears that the Robb/Jeyne storyline is being moved up
Mad Men blows. don't bring that trash in this tasteful thread. As for the new trailer. The North looks perfect.
I tried watching Mad Men... couldn't get in to it. I might give it another shot eventually. But Breaking Bad is awesome. One of my favorite shows ever.
