ROTFL................................................ As sad it sounds, O.J. is like arguably top 5 running back alltime and Rae Carruth was rising receiver in the league and he was only about 24. Ray Lewis - suspected of double murder.......next year DPOY and probably top 7, 10 MLB of all time. Michael Vick - convicted of dog-fighting.....probably was on his way to being best running QB of all time. Ricky Williams - probably one of the best running backs of late 90s to early 2000 - bonafide pot head Jamal Lewis - broke 2000 yards and pretty good back.....served time for distributions of narcotics.
Add Leonard Little - found not guilty on manslaughter charges after DUI...and has had another one since. Andre Rison - too many things to list Sean Taylor - (see above & Washington Redskin) Larry Johnson - Darrell Russell- another Redskin player
I think that Cowboy fans and Raider fans are equally delusional, just that the Cowboys have actually won somewhat recently. I'm torn on this game...it's instinctive for me to hate Dallas, but I'm a Colts fan so I can't stand the Patriots. But to me, you can't define this as one of the great games in the past few years. The hatred just isn't there. It seems to me (and I'm young, so I probably could be off-base here) that there are one or two matchups every year that have that full effect, where everyone is watching, whether they like the teams or not. I'd say that the Colts & Patriots have that, and have had it for the past few years. Patriots/Cowboys = Great Matchup. But regardless of the outcome, it's not nearly as big as Colts v Patriots is going to be, or has been for the past few years.
Also, it is amusing to note which group is being obnoxious around here lately. Mindless hatred IS pretty obnoxious.
"Dear Reporters, Due to the magnitude of this week's game and high volume of questions for the Original 81 about the other 81. I will be taking all questions immediately following Sunday's game. Sincerely, TO p.s. Getcha Popcorn Ready."
Yes,Im from Mexico, Im a die-hard fan of the Rockets, and I support all the teams from Houston, and Im a big fan of Cowboys too, and I was a fan of the Mavs, but since the playoffs series with the Rockets, when the Mavs cheated (finley out of bounds), I hate the Mavs, and I still hate the mavs, so Im with you Nero.
This isn't going to be one of those games where T.O. will be unfocused and out of the game. We know how much he loves the spotlight and attention and he's gonna want to show up Moss and play his best and steal the show. He may not be as gifted as Moss, but TO is still very difficult to deal with when he's on.
This is one of the main reasons why I support both Cowboys and Texans. I don't think I would be satisfied with my Sunday if I waited impatiently all week to solely watch the Texans. Sometimes it's just unbearable. Last Monday was some night to remember. I can't remember the last time I felt the same way watching any Texans game.
Hey, don't use my posts to explain your sports bigamy. I don't need to root for some other team because mine is going through rough times. I stick it out. I'm a real fan, so you won't find any sympathy here.
And I don't? I've watched every freaking game since 2002. I seriously thought this was the year...then the injuries piled up. I'm a Texans fan and will continue to watch every game, but I have to honestly say that I'm not satisfied as a football fan watching them.
Nantz/Simms announcing crew.. thank god.. its like heaven after the jackholes doing the jags/texans game
