yeah i went my buddy's house and played a little bit. I just drove around and beat up people for awhile (most people fight back this time and you can block and duck and stuff) I didn't do any missions or anything, just roamed the city. Pretty impressive. I may go back over there today before the Rockets come on.
I'm definitely not getting this game until I get my HDTV paired up with my PS3. I hooked my PS3 up to my friend's HDTV via HDMI and I was jealous. Thanks to the early rebates, I should Have my HDTV by the end of May.
Damnit. I'm so going to have to go get a PS3 now. I'm still thinking about maybe getting an 360 (cheaper) but having Blue Ray may come in handy in the future....or maybe not. I'm in no rush to buy BR movies, but in the future I would most likely use them...but then players shouldn't be so expensive anymore. I rarely used my ps2 as a dvd player.
Have they said anything about it coming on on PC yet? like when? <embed src='http://videomedia.ign.com/ev/ev.swf' flashvars='object_ID=827005&downloadURL=http://xbox360movies.ign.com/xbox360/video/article/869/869595/gta4_review_042508_flvlowwide.flv&allownetworking='all' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' width='433' height='360'></embed>
Curious on how the game looks? Here's a LIVE stream of a guy playing it on 360. It's a LIVE video feed from his xbox. Pretty neat. <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="263" width="320" id="jtv_player_flash" data="http://www.justin.tv/widgets/jtv_player.swf?channel=reignofchaos" bgcolor="#000000"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="movie" value="http://www.justin.tv/widgets/jtv_player.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="channel=reignofchaos&auto_play=false&start_volume=25" /></object><a href="http://www.justin.tv/reignofchaos" style="padding:2px 0px 4px; display:block; width:320px; font-weight:normal; font-size:10px; text-decoration:underline; text-align:center;">Watch live video from Reign's footage on Justin.tv</a>
LOL. This guy has had a few live feeds the last few days, all of which have been steam-rolled by Rockstar. The guy has some real persistence.

I just got a call from Gamestop about my preorder. You can go in as early as 6pm Monday to pay for GTA IV in full so that at Midnight all they have to do is hand it to you. Sounds like that will make it move faster.
I sort of feel like this, although it doesn't have anything directly to do with GTA IV. Most of the trailers I've seen have gotten me more excited about the game. The problem is that I don't want to get excited about it right now. I'm too busy with other games, and I'd like to hold off until later in the year before I try out GTA IV. I don't think so. Does anyone know who did the PC ports in the past? If Rockstar North did them, I'd wonder if the work they'd be doing on the DLC for the consoles would interfere with a PC port (although I guess other teams at Rockstar could be working on the DLC as well). Maybe that's why they bought that one group a few weeks ago. I forgot their name, but they did the Bully 360/Wii ports IIRC. I think they had some experience with PC development as well.
[sigh] I'm guessing there are no plans for price cuts for either the XBOX 360 or PS3 in the near future?[/sign] I'm so tempted to go out and buy one to play this game, but the rational part of me wants to hold onto as much money as I can.
