"That's a flyball at any other park in either league."

That, and they forget about Fenway when comparing the other ballparks... Fenway is actually shorter to LF (310), but has the higher wall.... either way, its at least a double there.

was that really a routine fly anywhere else? it was about 10 feet into the stands and a lot of places have a lower fence than MMP. there's no guarantee the OF even gets back to it if it's not a homer. people act like the crawford boxes are a 100 feet closer than any seats anywhere else. unless you hit it in the first few rows and it's a high flyball that would come down quickly, most crawford box homers are homers everywhere.

Shh.... let them continue to pull out their hair everytime they play at this ballpark.

We all know its not Coors Field... and its actually given us a real home-field advantage in the playoffs (something that's not automatic in baseball). Also, in some ways, I think it forces our pitchers to make better pitches... both at home and on the road.

Nice crisp inning for Backe... now if only he can get the "pest" out of his head, and actually throw a strike to him in the next inning.

The Cardinals look like they are ready to give up.....if we could put some runs on the board, we could REALLY push them to the edge.

Let's go offense...that guy is throwing first pitch strikes...time to get those toothpicks off the shoulder early and get some knocks.

Backe caught looking. That's where he needs that swing where he comes out of his shoes.

Backe had an awesome game like this last season, in game 5 of the NLCS.

He went 8 innings, serving up a one hitter (that Kent won with the walk off homer)

The good news is that may be it for Suppan. We can get some runs off of their pen.

Backe only has a confidence problem with Eckstein, and its influencing the way he's pitching to him.

Unfortunately, Eckstein has led-off the inning everytime he's come up, so its led to bad situations for Brandon with the big stix coming up behind him.
