I'd seriously consider protesting this game if i'm the cards. Put the shoe on the other foot for a minute.

Astro vs. White Sox? It would be a toss up. Both teams are playing very well. At least 6 , if not 7 game series.

Lets not look yet at the World Series. We still got to win one more.

    One game at a time....

Totally agree - I learned my lesson on that with the Rockets in the playoffs this year! :(

Looking at the replay he looked out to me. IT was close but it looks like he was clearly out.

I'm just saying, if two of our guys got throw out of the game over some iffy calls at the plate by a power tripping umpire and then a really close (runner get the tie) call at first, i'd be PISSED.

    better them than us. :)

I'm still kinda worried. We were in this same situation last year. Except without Petitte.

i'm glad the calls by the home plate umpire in game one were focused on like the calls in this one will be. not! now we're the team that won with bad calls. bs.

man, 3 chances for the world series with pettitte, oswalt, and clemens, the rocks of our team, coming up in the rotation. couldn't ask for any more. and if we don't make it we never will.

astros vs white sox. the earth may just open up and swallow us both before one of us is allowed to win a world series.

No. Last year we had 2 tries to win 1 with Munro and Clemens. This year we have 3 chances to win 1 with Pettitte, Oswalt, Clemens. Very different.

Dude, we were up 3-2 last year, never 3-1. And, as mentioned, not quite the same pitching staff.

When somebody gets the pic of Berkman jumping after realizing they turned the DB, with the crowd in the background, please post. That'd will be an awesome shot.

I honestly thought the ball to berkman was a ball and the ball to edmonds caught the plate. Both were close tho. But that said, if you were the umpire would take all that crap from the cardinals. Eventually it's gonna get to you. So if he leaned against the cards its because they didn't repsect the umpiring crew.
