Backe has pitched well of late aside from a few control issues. Well, not "well", but he's shown flashes. HE puts it together here.

And a Backe HR into the Crawford's to top it off. STros win 6-2

Brandon was really locked in last year.I think it's too much to expect that kind of performance again, but if he can keep us in it for 5 -6 innings,I feel the Astros won't lose this game.Big Mo is on our side and after all these years,IT'S TIME TO GO TO THE WORLD SERIES!
    Astros 6 - Cards 4

No, you're not. The only thing Fox manages to do well in these playoffs is just showing the freaking game itself.

Everything else they do... the sound effects, the pre-game narrative/intro, the pre-game show itself, the highlights they show... somehow manage to get me LESS hyped up for the game than if I hadn't seen it at all.

If these games were on a real network.... ie, NBC/CBS, they'd hype up the drama factor 10-fold... and focus less on playing the latest music/cool graphics to introduce their games.

    Backe's biggest problem... his control.

Without the walks, he probably has a decent start against Atlanta... now, he's already falling behind and walking guys early on.

    C'mon Brandon!

Eckstein was trying to cheap-shot Everett... lets bean him! (this is just referring to the thousands of Cards fans who want Jason Lane to be hung for his "cheap" shot of Nunez).
