The Astros were horrible the first 45 games. After that, they had the best record in baseball.

The White Sox were great the first 3/4 of the season. After that, they barely held on to win their division.

These teams are very equal, as evidenced by three very close World Series games.

Not really. A pitch that runs inside at the knees is probably one of the favorite pitches for a LH hitter.

Well, guess all we can do is watch, and for those at the game - cheer.

Guess it's time for the Astros to see if they can pull together a victory. It's just one game, and at this point, i think it's more about not getting swept then trying to win the WS.

Here's to hoping that Clutch City lives up to its reputation.

Rob Neyer over at ESPN.com has officially burried us.

    Hooray tombstone!!! :D :D

You know, there are a lot of Adam Everett supporters out here, but I think it's time to change something up.

My lineup card would look like this (radical as it may seem)

    2B- Biggio
    CF - Taveras
    LF - Burke
    1B - Berkman
    3B - Ensberg
    RF - Lane
    SS - Vizcaino
    C - Ausmus
    P - Backe

Add another jack-rabbit type guy to the top of the line-up to hopefully help manufacture some runs. I'm almost inclined to put the free-swinging Lane in front of the bat-still-on-the-shoulder Ensberg in tonight's game. As one of the most charismatic guys on the team, Ensberg is playing like a man who is conceding defeat. We need a big spark out of him in the worst way.

Backe looks like he's in for a long day today. All series long, the Astros pitchers have had problems finishing off the Chi-Sox hitters. This problem will be magnified tonight unless Backe comes with his Game 5 2004 NLCS stuff.

Whoever gets to the bully first will probably take this game.

Go Stros!!!! We're not dead until the 27th out has been recorded (and maybe a few more after that).

All it takes is one play to change the complexion of this series around in our favor. Get it back to Chicago and we have our two studs rested and ready to pitch us to our first championship.

    Believe it again!!

Dude... I like this "shake" phrase... what exactly do you mean by it...? :D It's cool... I just need you to explain it like I was a four-year-old... :)

You did it also in the Yahoo article thread I posted... :) I had a chuckle, and now I laugh again... I like it!

    I agree. Vince, go back.

We take out all our frustration and show the world we belong here. We will slap them around tonight to start the comeback.

OK, I know, but at least give me points for holding SOME hope.
