It's on sale on the PlayStation store through the 13th. Not sure about other platforms. Bought it this afternoon and played a few rounds, I like it so far.
For how much? I tried this new Warzone map and it sounds and feels and plays a bit like Battlefield IMO. The mini-BF that came out before BF3 I think it was? The WW2 one that only had like 3 or so maps. I forget the damn name.
I hated that game, man. The animations were SO SLOW. It's a video game. And they want me spending 4sec and 5000 frames of animation mounting a HORSE? C'mon. And the weapons were like.... Shovels? C'monnnnn.
I agree with you on melee animations since your melee kill can be canceled if you're killed during the animation. But the other animations weren't bad. I kinda liked the vehicle animations. The gunplay was satisfying, albeit limited for its time period. The maps and environment were good. Introduction of elite classes was fun. Overall pretty balanced due to no circle strafing helis.
