Gamespot reviewer claims that the batmobile becomes a major annoyance during the last third of the game. Judging from the gameplay trailers, the batmobile looks like a really awesome addition and is well done.
The IGN reviewer also said that the batmobile "tank mode" felt out of place, despite giving an overall score of 9.2.
Do not pay anything close to full price for it. Got this game for $12 from someone who bought a new Nvidia card but did not want the free game. While it will be hard to replicate my deal, you can get one of these code on ebay for around $20-25. They are Steam version as well.
You can easily find these codes for $20-30. Just be sure to vet who you are buying from carefully so you don't get scammed. eBay is obviously safest option. Got this for free with my 970 purchase. Hope its good.
There are just certain games I don't like playing on PC. I'll play shooters on pc, but I prefer action games like Batman on a controller. Plus why did I spend $1k on a PS4 and a Xbox one if I'm just going to play PC games due to them being cheaper?
Download Inputmapper. My PS4 and Xbox controller works flawlessly on PC. Even with Bluetooth. I used PS4 controller to play Arkham City on PC and enjoyed better graphics as well. No need to pay $60 for the PS4 version when I can get better experience and for cheaper on my PC.
Fair enough. That's definitely a compelling argument. I'd still rather lay back in a big comfy chair for a game like this rather than hunched over my desk.
That's why Steam is coming out with the Steam Controller and the Steam Link. Also, they are now pushing for making portable computers the norm (more powerful than laptops and current-gen consoles). Personally the Steam Controller looks like garbage, I much prefer the Xbox 360 controller I have right now, but the Steam Link is pretty awesome. Anyways. Arkham releases tonight y'all.
Depending if they want you to use it for different things I like it so far. The city is so well for that thing it needs to be more spacey IMO but either way its fun to drive with. You can run stuff over, people, cars, signs, the environment is a bit destructible so you can shoot stuff down and blow holes through some walls, etc... The combat is still batman, I'm sure with some additions but you should be familiar with it already. So far so good, only 2% in though
I'll have to see the performance first. Streaming is still going to have inherent delay. I agree, the controller looks a little crappy to me. Excited for the game, going to a midnight release. I need a new video card for my pc, but it's still plays everything at decent framerates.
Apparently according to the steam reviews the PC port sucks. European release was like 4 or 5 hours ago apparently. Everyone is complaining. Oh god, there goes playing on day 1 lol.
