It is idiotic to boo a Rockets player who at least is trying hard. The better alternative is not to play him. Lin is an inconsistent, erratic player with poor court awareness. That is a recipe for disaster in the playoffs with all the pressure. He is done.
I really agree with this. Come on, people. If he put forth no effort and then ragged on the city of Houston, okay maybe boo him. But he is who he is as a basketball player, and a person. He's a sweet man who is just never going to show much consistency on a basketball court. I spent years cheering teams much worse than this one. Imagine Mike Newlin being your go-to guy. It was rough. But you cheer for your team. Yes you suffer, yes you nitpick, but the negativity in today's sports world is pretty weird. It just seems like a lot of people bring a lot of sadness from their lives into their life as a sports fan.
You know what we should do is CHANT Lins name during the game. That will give him more confidence instead of booing him. Booing is so classless

I'll never boo anyone wearing a Rockets uniform, except maybe Scottie Pippen. I'll sure as heck send him an angry tweet though.
I'm as pissed off at Lin as anyone but PLEASE don't go to TC and boo Rockets players. It's just bad form. Especially since, as mediocre and prone to stupid lapses as he may be as a basketball player, Lin is a decent guy. He messed up... it happens. Move on.

You should read all of Chris Baldwin's articles. He's basically a LOF-wannabe that's using Lin's huge fanbase to get webhits. That's all. His articles are a joke and a complete waste of time.
We have no power over that though.. I think he is still safe to play. Get him his 12 minutes in the first and secondhalf. Make sure he's benched from the mid-4th onwards.
Actually, I'm thinking there will be at least one more chance after game 5 to do this and show you're level of class as a 'true fan.' Man, you might think a lot of things about Lin and his performance now and over his tenure here, but if you think he's not trying you're not paying attention. If anything it's the opposite. Why would you boo him? Want him traded, think he's subpar, sure, whatever, but boo him? In the playoffs? I boo this thread.
