It is just amazing some of the sets the Lakers have come up with offensively. Yes the Celtics will trap Kobe if they go for the pick and roll but they can't continue to settle for jump shots with Garnett and Pierce with 5 fouls.

    It's simply stupid basketball.

Collapse for the ages. Complete lack of basketball fundamentals. Pierce repeatedly can't even handle the ball around a screen. Garnett can't buy a simple free throw, at 83 percent. You don't get too many golden opportunities to win a title, and the Celtics completely gave one away tonight. We'll see if they get another.

    I hate Paul Pierce

I was only a few inches away and I could have had Pierce.

I like Garnett, but I hate Boston.

KG can't even follow a tip.

And now Garnett misses a point blank, uncontested layup to seal the loss. Complete and utter collapse. Shameful. I have so, so little confidence in the Celtics to win a close game down the stretch.

KG choking in the clutch = series heading back to Boston.

Good stuff, let's keep this baby going!

that's partly my point. one team has nothing on the inside, the other team builds a wall around the paint. how many times this game alone has pierce basically been iso'd on gasol? if kobe starts to drive, his man is on him, garnett is waiting, and someone like posey is probably trying to draw a charge.

i'm not saying pierce hasn't been really good. he's stepped up a lot. but one guy just has it a lot harder.

Garnett has really hurt his team by missing free-throws, getting into foul trouble, and missing gimmies at the rim.

    I love Garnett.

But sorry, you can't joke away a playoff game like Karl Malone and make me care about you.

They should place hotter looking people behind the commentators. It's the Staples Center man...

Ugh, wanted to read some bitter Laker tears tonight. They better close this out on Tuesday.

And people rag on McGrady for being unclutch? Garnett is one of the least clutch superstars out there.

When Cassell was shooting FTs in the 4th quarter, Mike Tirico and Hube Brown on ESPN Radio were talking about Cassell winning championships with the Rockets inbetween MJ and the Bulls. Tirico gave talked about Hakeem and Horry.
Said something to the effect, "it doesn't hurt to play with someone named Hakeem"
