I wonder what the Lakers would give up to get a player like Battier because none of their forwards--save for Ariza--plays a lick of defense.

Doc, please get Rondo out of there and keep him out. The guy has been in meltdown mode for the last 5-6 quarters. I agree with giving him the chance to start the 3rd quarter but it's time to pull the plug.

i bet kobe wishes he was being guarded by radmanovic. gives up a freakin' uncontested layup.

does this even feel like a real game? i mean it's pretty much inevitable that boston is going to win so it makes each individual possession just seem so blah.

Kg slaps Gasol's hands and the 260lb Spainard goes flying to the floor

It feels like we are going to have a sloppy 4th quarter as both teams get tight collars. I can see the Lakers winning this game if the Celts don't step up and take it away from them.

That 3rd quarter was nothing special and I expect the 4th to be worse, unless a particular player (or two) steps up huge.

I'm almost waiting for that inevitable Laker letdown where the players around Kobe start sucking the place out and Kobe can't just turn it on to save them.

Kobe better start looking for his own shots in the 4th.

The Celtics really should win this really. It just feels like the game is lacking the intensity of an elimination game in the finals.

Its like the Lakers are going through the motions and the Celtics are at half pace.

Anyway the 4th has just started...let see what happens.

By the way the Walton fathers day thing at half time was creepy.....

for the last quarter or so pau gasol has come to the party in terms of toughness. rebounds, post-ups, blocks, loose balls, he's really going for them.

Don't worry, if the NBA is truly rigged, the Lakers should win this game and we should be anticipating a game 7 showdown.

sasha vujacic is the undisputed king of stupid fouls. and right after he missed another open 3 to extend the lead to 15.

and that was about the 3rd time the lakers missed a lob for kobe. they never look for it for some reason.

cassell makes a very tough shot b/c celtics role players always make big plays.

edit: holy crap vujacic has shot like 4 times in a row and missed all of them.

and mother****er the lakers are cursed. absolutely cursed. farmar's layup bounces out for like the 10th lakers layup to bounce out, then cassell commits an offensive foul but gets a defensive foul, and then gets a lucky ass bank in. i told you it was inevitable the celtics would win. open shot after open shot for the lakers, no points, 2 bad shots by cassell, 5 points.
