OK, who was saying that Garnett or Allen could possibly be named the MVP if the Celtics win it all?

    Is there any doubt now?

Unbelievable! Lakers start the game on fire in first Q, Celtics start defending and drastically cut the lead in the second, then win the game in the third/fourth...same ol', same ol'!

The Lakers are just a week-minded team. When pressed, they forget how to run their offense, they start taking bad shots (Kobe included) and the Celtics dominate them.

Once again, Pierce is more impressive than Kobe...

Wow! 5 minutes later we have a 15-0 Celtics run. Major meltdown by the Lakers, even with KG mostly on the bench. PP is stepping up and playing like he wants to end this today.

Would they have been better off with Gary P than with Sam?

Putting in Chris Mihm was almost like a scripted move to turn good fortunes to bad

Same ol' story, a3po. Nothing changed from previous games. There is a very familiar pattern here, and none of them ended well for the Lakers.

As long as the Celtics end the half down by single digits, they will feel like they have this game. Pierce is a big game player, and Kobe certainly can't stop him/defend him, he's simply too strong for him. It's only a matter of time until Allen gets going too, and may be KG will finally decide to join the party as well. Either way, doesn't look good for the Fakers.

The Lakers' emotions are way too much on edge. (In a negative way) they are a powder keg ready to explode. To be up only 3 points at the half must be deflating.

Anyone else think it may be getting a little too physical? There were some serious missed foul calls.

Bryant, Fisher, and Phil Jackson have been on this stage many times before. Their team shouldnt be so unpoised and erratic emotionally.

Mark Jackson described "fake hustle" on a drive Radmonovic gave up to Tony Allen, which I agree with. This team actually is the definition of Fakers.

Luke looked pretty embarrassed throughout that whole thing, like "Gawd Dad, stop embarrassing me in front of millions already, I want to be taken seriously for once..."

I always had a funny feeling Luke grew up pretty embarrassed to have such a dorky Dad that everyone pokes fun of behind his back, like kids going up to him in grade school, "Man, your Dad is a friggin riot, he's such a tool..." and deep inside Luke thought the same way.

no, the celtics are just better and stronger-minded.

so to both these quotes, is that how they demolished the western conference in the playoffs? don't let the celtics, by far the best team in the league, beating them fool you, the lakers are still good.

and pierce again shows why it's easier to look better than kobe when one person is facing the lakers help defense and one is facing the celtics help defense.

Twice they've had the term "fake hustle" mentioned about them on plays. I'd say thats qualification of being a Faker :D

Somebody explain to me why Phil continues to have Radmanovic cover Pierce? It's ridiculous. Why don't they at least put Ariza to cover him? He won't stop him but at least he won't keep driving down the lane every time. And it's not like Radmanovic is making them pay on the other end anyway?
