i think it's better for the development of the team to beat the lakers WITH kobe bryant. but say he's not there... we would have won games 1, 2, and 4. come to think of it... we would have won the series.
He needs to be in colorado for 3 days. Hopefully that will affect his skillz a bit but knowing Kobe, he'll be there when they need him at the right moment at the right time with the right shot *sniff*
According to Choke-ster Barkey the Rockets will loose even if Kobe doesn't play. I say the Rockets will win wiht or without Kobe Rabbit's Foot Bryant.
Whether he makes the game or not, his absence will mean the Lakers will have less time to make adjustments before the game.
Unfortunately, this plan wouldnt work. You see there is a very good airport in Eagle (thats the best place to fly into to go to Vail, Aspen, etc) Also, Eagle is a very small town, so Kobe could walk to the airport if all else fails... Now...if only someone could arrange to take out his LEGS...
Game schedules for the NBA finals were changed due to Boston and Los Angeles meeting so many times in the 80's. It was 2-2-1-1-1 then, but changed to 2-3-2 to save time and money. I hope Kobe is delayed, we need every advantage we can get our hands on. I cant wait for this game, nothing like an elimination game to get your blood pumping.
This would totally be another celebrity using his status to change the system for himself. Everyone is equal in front of the law. You think a court would change a trial for anyone else if they said they couldnt make it because they had to go to work? Especially a case that deals with rape? Remember as fun and entertaining (and frustrating, if you're a rockets fan) Kobe can be, basketball is still a job for him and the court should treat it that way
