Same move that Luka and Tatum adopted... The move Harden has literally done hundreds of times in games to a T and is 100% not a travel gets called one for the first time all season in a playoff game and wipes away a 3pt shot... Just a random coincidence? Thoughts?
Of course it isn't a random coincidence. The Rockets are getting screwed (look at the series ft disparity), but every one hates Harden and the Rockets so no one cares. Rockets need to play through it. Pretty frustrating, but It is what it is. When they called this a travel it didn't surprise me. You just knew this was a harbinger of bad things to come in this game.
Harden hate is so common that if a Rockets fan complains about any aspect of the officiating people just roll their eyes and say Harden has been milking fouls for so long that Houston deserves to be screwed over by the refs. Legit had an OKC fan tell me today that I had no basis to complain about the refs in this series because "Harden is an unlikeable dude"
Not the same. He already hold ball with two hands, when make first step. So there is only one step left and the third step became a travel.
You're blind... Once he "gathers" the ball he then takes 2 steps to the side.. You don't count steps till after the gather and this sidestep stepback is identical to the ones Harden's done NUMEROUS times... Also Luka and Tatum have been doing it all playoffs.
it is not gather step if you touch ball with two hands, it is full step. Maybe Harden touched the ball with two hands little bit later after first step (in slow mo repeat), but this move differs from standard double stepback
You don't know what the hell you're talking about... Harden only takes 2 steps once he gathered the ball with both hands... He's literally done this exact sidestep many times and it's not a travel... Up your ball IQ seriously
after analyzing the play in slow-mo several times, bullard's words on-air were that this was exactly the same as any other sidestep harden has made in the past, w/ 2 steps AFTER the gather, and harden was robbed of a made 3pt shot for no reason.
It's bad call, there were couple of them. But we lost this game due to rookie turnovers and trigger happy shot selection and CP3 won't let you win against him like that
Can you show us the video you watched please. Because there is absolutely none of what you described on the play Harden was called for a travel.
it's a travel. if the refs say it is, then i believe them. i also believe what fukkin a smith and cowhard have to say.
