I agree, we gotta keep it competitive otherwise we're done. I don't think we can take a blowout and still have the mentality to win the series. We gotta grind it out and play our style of basketball.

To be honest, I really don't think game 2 is that important. Even if it's a blow out.

By winning game 1, game 2 is basically a freebie for us. If we win, it would be awesome. But if we lose. We just take a deep breath, realize that we have homecourt, and try to take care of business at home.

Although the pressure is now on us, because the confidence has shifted back to LA, and again Kobe loves to play in Houston...

I hight doubt that we can win all home games.

    Put it this way.

If Rockets win game two they're in huge advantage, if they lose they still have chance but those chances are slimmer.

Well, I'm not saying losing game 2 is "good", just that it's still viable for us. That is, we shouldn't feel like we're cornered if we lose.

And I feel this is especially true this season, due to our home/away disparity. The Rockets rely a lot on the refs, both in allowing contact on defense and making sure Yao stays out of foul trouble. Both of which are more likely to happen at home. Also, I'd imagine Toyota Center crowd will be a hundred times louder than at Staples.

How is the pressure on us? We are the underdogs in this series, the 5th seed vs. the 1st seed. We have no pressure. I honestly believe Rockets have nothing to lose.

Last time I checked, we're facing the defending western conference champions, not newbies.

if somehow we manage to win game 2 (doable imo), our chances of winning the series suddenly rises to 80% from 50%.

The media labels us as underdogs, we beat LA by playing efficient team basketball and good defense. And we have a whole season to lose, what do you mean nothing?

actually game 3 is the one that will have much more significance regardless of what happens in game 2. having said that every game is important, but game 2 is hardly must win. at least not for the Rockets.

Come'on easy. Game 2 could be extremely hard to win, Lakers is an elite team, plus they are desperate and got home court advantange, refs would be highly likely on Lakers' side .
Gambling on Game 2 is not a wise act. In my opinion, Game 3 and Game 4 would decide which team take this series. Coach and players should be aware of the big picture and be prepared to pull all strengh out in upcoming home games. Well, if we could also steal Game 2, I could not be more happy, nevertheless I do not think it is possible.

To use a pacquiao boxing analogy, I hope we knock out the Lakers with a left hook to the jaw in round 2. If we win this game 2, the lakers will say they never saw the punch coming. ;)

As long as we play smart and with desire , we have a puncher's chance. Go Rockets!!

I remember the last time we lost game 2 in the playoffs. We went on to win the series.

Can not relax at home continue to attack and see what the gets the team. The Rockets can win both games at home and should be ready for the Lakers bs play. Can not lose their poise take it to the Lakers.
